Meh. Unless they mix Windows 7 and Windows 8 well, without getting rid of too much of Windows 8. They did way too much back tracking, I don't want the start menu back, at least in the classical sense, they need to find a balence.

So you think that having a start menu that takes up the whole screen is a better way to go?
Off the top of my head, there's some really obnoxious tutorial popups that show you how to use W8's gestures.
But to be honest I don't see much of a difference myself. I have my most used apps (firefox and file explorer) pinned to the taskbar, and whenever I need anything else It's just a quick trip through the start page. The proper start menu will help out however.
My laptop came with Windows 8... I got used to it though (most of the desktop menus are basically the same as they are in 7 which I like)
I'm talking about:
"Oh you're trying to copy your own files from one part of your computer to another as an administrator? You're going to need administrator permission for that!"
And also"We personally think your volume is too loud, and since we apparently are your parents have decided to automatically apply a limiter to your computer that you can turn off! Say goodbye to your dynamic range! "
You people have no idea lol
Ryudo, we're not six. We've used windows xp as well lol.

I don't remember seeing any tutorials other than the one they give you when you first set up the computer.

I love the dog

Um when does that happen? Never had those problems before...
Windows XP, kids will never know the pain of internet explorer and all the lag and random crashing
But did you use Bob? Bob is before XP
No, I didn't use Bob
Not me personally, but I still know who all those characters are regardless
I'm going to assume it's just a new update for Windows 8.
I'm still on Windows 7 but there have been ways to get a start menu and for it to default to the desktop instead of the new Metro UI so I guess it wouldn't be that big a deal to switch but I'm in no hurry. Maybe when I upgrade my PC I'll switch but who knows when that will be.
This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

Yeah if you have 7 I don't think there's a point... but if you're still on Vista or XP... might need to start upgrading lol.
Not mine. Just know Windowsblinds is a software lets you install skins. I used to use WB back in the day when I had XP. They may still be around. I just don't use skins since I got W7
