So who do u guys want to be gone?

I say Microsoft. Never really enjoyed their consoles or their obsessive fan boys... Sony, I been loyal(even tho i don't have a ps3 but have ps1) since birth.

Okay I think that Sony will be the one to go. Sadly I dont really want them to go they gave me my first counsel the PS. But if it is for Nintendo's sake sure. I think this because Nintendo I know wont go. Sony is in bad shape so I will have to assume that they are the ones going....

Well, it's like PL said. From an economic standpoint...Sony would go first. Their gaming division hasn't turned a profit since the PS3 came out.

no its not that they will stop making consoles, its that theyre not going to make new hardware for next gen (kind of smart move). since the info is coming from a cloud service dude, its likely the console that wont get a successor next generation is going to get some kind of cloud upgrade to carry it through next gen.

very possibly microsoft or sony, both could do it. sony said it wont invest heavily into next gen so maybe them. microsoft is already getting involved with cloud stuff so it could be them!!
either way im happy one is leaving :D

One less console I need to own, Probably Sony, and some people say there is no reason why Xbox should even exist. Apart from the online there is no real difference between the consoles they can do everything the other can besides kenect which I don't even care for , only the online and exclusives differentiate them.

I dont think either with go but if I had to choose I would say xbox. I am an xbox owner and not a playstation owner but I wish I had got a playstation.

I dont know what to think about this. Financially, Sony is more likely to leave, but technologically it's Microsoft.

Meh, whatever happens I can leave with.

Microsoft would be healthier if they left for Nintendo. Microsoft is a bigger threat to Nintendo than Sony is.

Me too. Really all we need is one. What is the point of two or three. If we just have one home console and one portable console for a generation, then we should be all set.

I think the more consoles the better, it means more competition and more innovation and thinking from companies to try and sell more of their product.

i would agree but microsoft's infinite bank account means that they dont have to innovate and will still be really competitive because it buys 3rd party support :( so basically microsoft is cheating and in a way preventing innovation

You know what would be best? If they all worked together to make one good console, instead of competing against each other. This is how it should be. Then you could get all of the good games on one console and the best of all, there would be no annoying fanboy's.

Didn't sony JUST release the PS Vita? And from the looks up of it, they invested alot into it.

Many would consider Kinect to be the biggest innovation this generation...

I'm not sure if Sony would leave. Despite not having great sales lately, the PlayStation brand is the most profitable part of the Sony brand.

It could be Sony since they said they had plans to make the ps3 last for 10 years they may switch over to a cloud based gaming platform with Gaikai to still play the next gen games on the ps3. However, this could very well be speculation on Gaikai's part.
