So this dress has managed to divide the Internet in a matter of hours. Some people think it's Blue and Black, while others see it as Gold and White. I decided to have a little fun with this and see what you guys think.

I see black and blue, but there's probably some PHP behind it.

 

Can you link to the source? It's possible it didn't upload correctly or maybe it switches at longer intervals.

 

Oh, found the source, it's black with blue but overexposed. It seems there's a whole generation of people who can't mentally correct exposure. I blame selfies and the obsession with high resolution cameras.

I think the real question is what color is the dress in the photograph and not, what color is the dress. If the dress was in front of me and not in a photo, it would be easier to tell what color, unless I'm colorblind.

Someone needs a new camera.

It depends on the white balance and whether it's in the shade or not.

 

Though it looks like gold and white to me, on my color-calibrated Ultrasharp monitor, but if the sources say blue and black, then we can all blame the cameraman.

Holy crap thats an over exposed shot. Either that or the sun itself is touching down behind the dress.

I guess its supposed to be a gif, but nothings changing, so all I can see is the white/gold dress in front of the super nova.

It's supposed to be a picture. The whole thing is that the exposure is screwing with what color people see the dress.

It's really not hard to tell at all for me.

But what color pansy?

At first i thought it was one of those pictures.. make you look at the dress but really you see some naked person in the background holding the camera snapping the photo.

It's supposed to be a picture. The whole thing is that the exposure is screwing with what color people see the dress.

Its not screwing with what color people see the dress as, the over exposure changed the color of the dress from the real life blue and black, to white and gold for the image, the same as using a paint tool in a photo editing program would, or switching to image negative colors would change the colors used.

The dress is black and blue, but the colors in the image are white and gold. The difference in which one people decide to use is as simple as this:
