So is this like a sequel or what?
Yes.
Not much of a Star Wars fan but this looks interesting. See it on Amazon or Netflix.

So is this like a sequel or what?
Yep. It's a new main series Star Wars movie which takes place around 30 years after the events of episode VI.

Its so funny to me the star wars hype. When many people are not even old enough to remember why it was good or popular in the first place. Either way I could care less but for the faithful I hope they get a good movie.
Sorry to nitpick but you keep saying could care less. It's Couldn't care less is the proper way to say it.

What?
Just because someone wasn't alive when it came out doesn't mean they can't know why it's great/popular. That's crazy talk, considering Star Wars has remained so iconic for the past 30+ years
OT: I'm really, really excited for this. I doubted Abrams because his Star Trek films have been mediocre as Trek Films, but this looks really, REALLY good.

Games that refuse to use Gameplay effectively to do anything are like films that refuse to use cinematography in film to do anything.

Yes that is what I am saying. Its a nostalgia that is associated with it and I get that for a lot of people but I just never got the hype around it in general. this could just be me but I never liked the movies even when forced to watched them as a kid.

people aren't "hyped" because of nostalgia, they're excited because they are getting what looks to be an excellent followup to three of the greatest films ever made
