Hopefully, there isn't another thread on this. Before you start the video, and go "wow, the Wii U can do that?!," I'll mention that the footage below is actually pre-alpha PC footage. With that in mind, go ahead and watch!



Project C.A.R.S. is a racing simulator, kinda like Grand Turismo on the Playstation, and Forza on the Xbox 360. While this game isn't going to be a Nintendo exclusive, this game presents a great opportunity to gain a genre it almost never does - Racing simulators. If Nintendo can tap into its money reserves and get some exclusivity going for it on a game like this, I could see a lot going for the Wii U.

This game seems interesting, I remember a story on the Wii U go was made about it. I am all for Nintendo to do so. I bet even our mod AMAC will jump for joy if that happens since he like these kind of games.

Yeah, I'm more of an arcade racer myself (F-Zero!), but Nintendo definitely benefits from getting other genres into its territory.

I definitely see good potential in this project. Hopefully it will live up to expectations, because after all not every project does.

The graphics look very very good, I'm finding it hard to believe this will be on PS3 and 360. That and the supposed 2013 release lead me to believe it just might end up being on the next gen systems, including Wii U.

That's a nice game. Loving it's graphics. Like Lain, I'd like to see another F-Zero game for the Wii U. (I bet most of you are tired of me saying that )

This looks very interesting, I see myself using the Wii U tablet as the stering wheel, racing against other players, and looking down at the screen for my rear view mirror!

Totally keeping this on my watch list!

I love racing games, this looks promising! As long as its not Nascar The Game glitchiness, then im happy

I can only use consoles cuz my PC graphics card is offically outdated :C

Thanks for finding the 1080p version - I saw this thread and replaced it in my article.

I didn't really have much of an opinion on Project CARS when we first heard it was coming to the Wii U back in December, but this new trailer has me intrigued. I really hope it turns out to be a fantastic game - I'm already liking the community-driven development process.

Man this looks great! I cant wait for it! I thought that the graphics were amazing! I also can see this as an exclusive because of the gyro controls that the video started to suggest to me.

Looks great. However, it wont be a launch title cuz its slated for a 2013 release.

I think it's fair to say that I'm fairly excited about this title. It looks great and there seems to be a good selection of cars. It also has some which resemble F1 cars from the sixties which is awesome. Hopefully it'll have a few more licensed cars by the time it's released. The only thing annoying me about it, is that there are no hands on the steering wheels. It looks a bit weird to see the wheel turning by itself (which also annoys me on Mario Kart 7), so hopefully that'll be fixed.

Not a huge fan of realistic racing games, but it will be great to have one on the system. Project C.A.R.S.'s graphics look beautiful.

Edit: A couple of my friends are mildly interested in the Wii U and are huge fans of racing games like this. This game could be a system seller for them. Getting these types of games on their system will be great for Nintendo.

No need to hold back, AMAC. If the others haven't raised their defences yet, that's their problem.
