So the Wii U can't do graphics like the one on the video?

It's hard to tell yet, but I don't think so. But that video is of one of the worlds best looking games, on a very expensive PC - So even if the Wii U can't do that we can probably still say it has "respectable" graphics.

Apparently, there was a second graphical demo that made the bird one look "meh". I believe it involves a flyover of Tokyo that goes between a view of the entire city to a hyper-detailed street-level view. The whole thing was supposed to look photorealistic, too.

I'm 75% sure that they're waiting for next E3, and only showed devs in order to get them on board.

No, it was shown at this E3. A few journalists were raving about it. However, it was a demo that Nintendo apparently guarded with their lives. It must really be something special.

I think Wii U makes beautiful graphics. This demo really shows it off. And according to Reggie Fils-Aime this was made with older development hardware. If that's true, I can't wait to see what the full potential of Wii U really is!
