If I remember correctly, wasn't there a rumor that if it came to the US there would be online play?Doesn't it lack online? It's pretty impressive that they managed to port a (particularly good looking) Wii game to the 3DS but Monster Hunter without online is only half the experience.
YES! YES!YES!YES!YES!

Why would they only add online play if it came to the US? Far more people will buy it in Japan and other countries, their money is just as good as people's money in the US :3If I remember correctly, wasn't there a rumor that if it came to the US there would be online play?

Because it's a cash cow in Japan, and there needs to be incentive for them to buy MH4. (Hey, Activation get's away with stuff like this over here, so I'm pretty sure Capcom can over there.)Why would they only add online play if it came to the US? Far more people will buy it in Japan and other countries, their money is just as good as people's money in the US :3
As for the other countries, I thought they were included, but I can't remember.

It could be the fact that the Japanese population is much more dense compared to the West, so people are able to walk up to someone who has the game and go on a local multiplayer than those who have the game in Japan. For example Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes which is the Japanese version of the game didn't have an online mode.http://www.destructo...om-115666.phtml However when the game came over to the West an online mode was added to the game, so it is not unheard of.

Yeah, that's just the overcharging for the import. xP
Otherwise, it'd probably be like any other portable collectors edition and be like $80.
