I find it funny because it seems like Reggie was getting annoyed about Sony and Microsoft

Yeah, I just watched this from a link on the 3DSForums.

It's kinda true though. When we compare a Playstation or Microsoft product in the video game industry, it's probably to a Nintendo product. In (possible) fact, it's almost always a comparison to a Nintendo product. I suppose what he said at the end is true, that the competitors are worrying about what Nintendo dishes out.

I have always like Reggie because he is blunt and intimidating. The first interview I read of him was with EGM, and I remember him being very confident. He's a good salesmen, and thats what a company needs as a CEO (Steve Jobs is a good example). Here Reggie again show's he understands the other guys will copy Nintendo because they are the ones with most of the innovations in this industry. And i love the comment, "I'll worry about expanding our business and I'll let the other guys worry about what I am doing." (not an exact quote)

That's what every company should believe and say to the public.

I have to say, he is definitely right. Nintendo rarely ever copies others, but Nintendo is copied all the time. Sony and Microsoft have done this numerous times. Nintendo comes out with a joystick controller, Sony comes around with the Dual Shock. Nintendo comes out with motion control, Microsoft and Sony come out with there own motion control devices. Now what is getting even more annoying is Sony is going to copy Nintendo games, like Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. Sorry Sony and Microsoft but you shouldn't copy Nintendo. They came out with the ideas first.

DS Touchscreen => PSP Touchscreen

I know the other companies make those things better, which is great, since without concurrence Nintendo wouldn't have been the same either, but without Nintendo we would've never had those features do other companies failing in being innovative. Sometimes I really get the feeling the other companies don't talk about how the new console is going to be, but just go on vacation till Nintendo announces a console, and then have meetings about how they're going to rebuild the Nintendo console, and improve it.

PSP Vita has touch capabilities on the back, but the PSP doesn't. We would of had some of the innovations, but the point here is Nintendo comes up with it first because they are developers, and very good ones at that. People study what they do and how they do it. That's why the other guys are worried (or SHOULD be) about the Wii U. Because rumors say Nintendo is finding a way to make it competitive in pricing. So when they launch their consoles in 2013 or 2014 Nintendo will not only have a lead on sales (don't kid yourself, it will be a big lead) and they have the Wii U Controller and as long as they have EXCLUSIVE AMAZING NEW games -- no remakes from Nintendo -- and all the third party games from other platforms ... Nintendo has this made, and Microsoft and Sony will be blown out of the water.

And they know it.

They dont invent stuff but they bring it into the mainstream and use it within the medium of gaming.I like to think of them as Apple of the gaming industry.There were smartphones in terms of Pda's but it wasn't really until the iphone came that the whole smartphone craze became a phenomenon.

Reggie is awesome compared to some other people like the stupid Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.
