http://www.forgetthe...r-the-wii-u.php

"We are hearing from our sources that there will be between ten to eleven Nintendo published retail games shown for the Wii U at E3, with the rest of the Wii U games being third party titles. It seems that Nintendo already knows what titles they will be revealing and displaying at E3 even though E3 is still a little less than three months away. Around 70 Wii U games are currently in development from a variety of publishers, and Nintendo will be publishing/releasing four Wii U games of their own before the end of 2012. We’ve been told that Nintendo is considering keeping the price of the Wii U lower than they want to, and they will release a tsunami wave of 3DS and Wii U software this holiday season to soften the blow from hardware losses.

According to our insider source, Nintendo has at least three new franchises in development by various studios for the Wii U. Nintendo has always been under criticism for recycling their existing franchises over and over again, and it seems that Nintendo may have taken some of that criticism to heart. Nintendo had recently published new intellectual properties such as Pandora’s Tower, Xenoblade Chronicles, and The Last Story for the Wii, and then they published Dillon’s Rolling Western, Pushmo, and Freaky Forms for the 3DS. It seems more evident that Nintendo is pushing harder for new franchises and more creativity.
E3 takes place on June 5-7, 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center."

I am so EXCITED to see these new franchies! :D.

My guesses are, one new franchise for the casual, one new franchise that everyone loves, and one new franchise that gets a big cult following.

Oh, now this is just too awesome. A whole bunch of old IPs and new IPs in one conference, with third party announcements as the icing on the cake? Nintendo's strategy of keeping everything secret until the day of E3 is definitely working. 2012 is set to be their best year since 2006, maybe better!

What we do is, if we ever need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
We put the volume up to eleven. One louder.

Nintendo should let their old IPs reveal their new IPs.

The news keep getting better and better. This E3 is going to be better than last E3. Now I have to wait and see if Microsoft will have a tablet controller for their new console.

My guesses are:
Wii U Sports (golf, baseball from e3 2011)
Wii U Play (catch mii, battle mii, etc. from e3 2011)
??? Miyamoto's new game ???

This makes perfect sense. Nintendo is really going to want to pull out all the stops on this one to prove to everyone that they mean business. Especially with Michal Patcther feeding the doom-sayers.

Wow, this is incredible news! 70 titles in development? That's nuts!
Hopefully the software sales justify the hardware loss though.

My guesses are:
Wii U Sports (golf, baseball from e3 2011)
Wii U Play (catch mii, battle mii, etc. from e3 2011)
??? Miyamoto's new game ???

With an attitude like that, we may actually see a Wii U Sports and a Wii U Play. <_<

Surely those would already be existing IPs though?

We already saw them at last year's e3.
Dunno what you're saying.

It depends on how the writer of that article sees it.

As far as the three new IPs go, I predict:

Miyamoto's new IP

A Monolith soft RPG

A downloadable game

Although, if downloadable games are not included here, I'd say it's a Retro title, though I'd rather they work on starfox or Zelda.

My guesses are:
Wii U Sports (golf, baseball from e3 2011)
Wii U Play (catch mii, battle mii, etc. from e3 2011)
??? Miyamoto's new game ???

Hopefully they don't include Wii ___games as new IPs!
