that's no good, i hope they realise soon, if they haven't already. HOLD UP!! just got a brainwave, maybe nintendo has noticed this, changed the logo (or even the name) and that's why we still havent seen the wii u logo in any third party games or anything like that

I think it'd be a big deal if the "U" in Wii U was the main logo, but from what we've seen, hasn't the logo been "Wii U" and not just "U"?

I always saw the Wii U logo as Wii with a shopping bag next to it. I know it's not really a shopping bag, but it could be.

It's a fair point. The logo's are very similar, and I use Ustream myself, so i wouldn't want to see this kind of thing happening. I pray it doesn't and there's a resolve before it even happens.

Even if they went to court, I doubt it will hold up. The argument would be that the U bit is always with Wii, secondly they'll look and see that the audiences for these products are separate, I think it could pass. Not sure, but something should have happened by now.

I think the whole logo needs a revamp, the Wii in Wii U is just the Wii logo with the U logo, I'm think the whole logo will be differernt by E3 2012.

My mind jumped at that thought until I remembered the NDA. Though it is interesting that the games that have all but confirmed wiiu support like aliens: colonial marines and assassins creed 3 do not show the wii-u logo at the bottom. I also couldnt find the wiiu logo on the website for the wiiu exclusive killer freaks from outer space (again, maybe use of the logo is part of the NDA) however it is fun to play conspiracy theory and speculate that the reason is due to a new name in the works.

Nintendo is a global juggernaut....Ustream is 1 silly insignificant website. You really think if they sued Nintendo they would win? BWAHAHA. Nintendo would crush them and force them to change their site name.
[E3 2012] Nintendo gets it's throne back.

the NDA doesnt contradict the potential reason for the lack of wii u logo being the name change. not showing the new name and logo would be part of the NDA, its just as likely. and yh i've seen the killer freaks website, that's a good point (very creepy website)
