Seeing as we already know there is a Mario game at Launch...That will be first. Super Mario Bros 4 (Not official name)

Now if you mean the next actual Mario adventure game like Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy and such well I still say that will be 1st of the games you mentioned.

So the order would be.

1: Mario
2: Smash Bros
3: Zelda
4: Mario Kart

However lets not forget Retro Studios is working on a secret game that is a launch title and it could very well be StarFox so that could be first before any of the games you mentioned.

A Mario game will come to the Wii U first and most likely Pikmin 3 will go with if not, they will release close to each other.

Super smash bros has only been in development for less than a year, theres not likely going to be a chance that it will be released till 2013 at atleast.

I would actually disagree with you there and place the release order as such:

1. Mario
2. Mario Kart
3. Zelda
4. Smash

We know Mario is pretty much a launch title. Zelda will take a lot of time to refine, but they're already working on it. Smash Bros. is nothing but pencil scribbles on paper, I doubt they have the design document finished yet. Expect this one to come out years after launch. which obviously leaves Mario Kart, which has been in development for a while now and has also traditionally come out 6 months to a year after every Nintendo console launch.

I dunno. As much as I want Smash Bros. I think it's a little further back than Mario Kart.

between those 4, I'd guess the order would be:

1. Mario
2. Mario Kart
... ... ... ... (a little waiting)
3. Smash Bros.
4. Zelda

How do we know Mario Kart 8 is in the works? Might as well add Mario Party 10 then lol.

I dont think it will take to long. Games can be made alot quicker then they used to be.

That's only true sometimes. It varies from developer to developer.

My reasoning for that order is mainly based on some of those titles being released recently.
-There have been talks of a Mario game in dev for a little while now, so I'm guessing that's one of the first.

-I'm almost positive Zelda isn't coming out for a long time, since Skyward Sword was just released in November. They're not going to overload the market with Zelda like that. It's wasteful.

-For Smash Bros, we know that Sakurai san just started working on it recently, so that's a ways out. Not to mention he's a perfectionist. AND this time, he's doing a complete overhaul of the game, so there's probably not as much copy/paste development this time. Which will take longer.

-Mario Kart is tricky, because of the 3DS MK7. It was recently released, but it's been a while since a console version of Mario Kart has been out, so that's why I put it at #2

Well Smash Bros 3DS will be out like a year before the Wii U version will be...

New Zelda 3DS game this year that will hold us over till Zelda HD on Wii U...

Mario Kart 8...I just dont see it coming out soon.

Because last year the project lead from Mario Kart 7 said that he has a lot of interesting ideas for Mario Kart on the Wii U that he cannot share with us just yet. i.e. It's begun pre-production.
