On topic; the button next to the power button could be for syncing?

Doubt it.
Nintendo would hide that in the battery compartment, or on the top/back somewhere.
It's not something you'd typically have on the face.

MAN I WAS JUST ABOUT TO TALK ABOUT THE CHARGER CORD!!!! >: O

Anyways maybe Nintendo wants to make a universal charger like Apple did and it would work for DSi/DSiXL/3DS and Wii U? I would find this more convenient than having like five different chargers and not knowing what they are for.

Yeah one of the recent rumors said nintendo worked things out with the U name situation. So expect the Wii U name but a drastically different looking console at E3.

This thread is on fire! But, the design looks great, I didn't have a problem with the previous design, but I do like this one better.

+/- can now be reached with the thumb, sticks are great, and squares must be NFC spots.

Nah, the left one is just a classic NFC spot.
The one next to power is clearly a button of some sort.

Looks to be as good as confirmed now that the tweet was removed.

Sorry Nintendo. It happened to you again. Just weeks before you were set to unveil one of your products someone beats you to it.
Oh well. There are still plenty of secrets left to reveal at E3 and the Rayman Leaked Trailer and now this Upad redesign are still just the tip of the iceberg. :)

Can't someone just find the patent document and read what the deal with the new button is? I would, but I don't have access to a computer right now.

Also, someone mentioned that the NFC heart in the Rayman Legends trailer was put directly on the screen and not next to it. That's because the trailer was an internal concept video, basically saying "Hey, look what we can do with this." They were using an old devkit.
