I actually fired petit computer back up and made the first of several heavy documented, self contained tutorials on basic 'building block' concepts and mechanics, like using player input to move an object around the screen.

Then i found a uber awesome petit basic port project of mm2, and i started on adding in the mechanics of later entries in the series like the slide and the charge shots (mm4 design charged buster shot). Its so wrong in all the right sonic and knuckles kind of ways.
