How do you think you'll be able to get pro controllers?

Perhaps the pro controller will follow in the footsteps of the classic controller, having to be bought seperately.
Perhaps, to appeal to the hardcore, they will come with the system.
Perhaps neither is correct.

What are your thoughts?

What we do is, if we ever need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
We put the volume up to eleven. One louder.

Because they specifically said that it will be used as an optional controller for extended gameplay, or in situations where 3rd party games don't make much use of the screen... They make it sound VERY optional, so I will guess it will be sold seperately. The Gamepad costs enough as it is.

Since it is not essential for every game, I believe it will be sold separably from the system.

At best, one will come with it. However, I'm banking on buying from a store.

Sold not with the Wii U I presume, like the classic controller for the Wii U.

In my opinion it's not going to be included with the system and will be an optional purchase as its not a required controller.

As much as I wish one would come with the console, I'm very sure you'll have to get it via retail separately.

I think it would be packaged with a game (maybe an IP) after launch. If you want to get one before, you'd have to buy it in a store. I think they'll go the same way that with the Wii classic controller pro.

I don't think there will be one bundled with the console. With the Wii, you didn't get a classic controller with the console, so I expect you'll have to buy pro controllers separately. I think the console will just come with one (or maybe two if Nintendo are feeling generous) gamepads.

Best case scenerio is you get 1 Wii U Gamepad and 1 Wii U Pro Controller with the system. But most likely you will get just 1 Wii U Gamepad with the system and have to buy Wii U Pro controllers.
[E3 2012] Nintendo gets it's throne back.

I assume you will have to by it at the store which kinda destroy Nintendo reason to make it for multiplats if the third parties can't rely on someone having it but than again it probably won't matter it seems to be the same as wiiu main controller without the screen so I assume if you play a game with the Pro controller in mind that it will just have the regular screen controller's screen off.

Maybe package it with ZombiU.

And put Ghost Recon and Mii Land free with the WiiU

I very much doubt it will come with a Wii Remote Plus. I believe it will come with one Wii U game pad and that's it. At the end of the day cost is going to be a big factor for Nintendo and packaging additional controllers will either mean less revenue for them or increasing the retail cost which will be bad for us. I remember something Reggie said recently that they are relying on all those millions of people who own Wii's to use their existing controllers when upgrading to the Wii U.

That's a good point. I don't know about $20 for sure, but the price of the Wii MotionPlus remotes could easily come down significantly.

It'd be nice if we could pick up 4 of em for under $100.
