Will there be a new Zelda game for the Wii U?

Proberly at one point, not this year though. Maybe at next year's E3 we will see one. We have had Skyward Sword last year so it may take some time for a new Zelda game.

Off course there will be. It has been on every Nintendo console since the NES.. That is, every Nintendo console. :/
Plus it has been confirmed multiple times. But mostly it's just common sense. SS just came out though, so it will take a while. There's an average of about 4 year between console games..

There has to be. Zelda is one title that will be a system seller to any hardcore gamer. It wouldn't be a Nintendo system without a Zelda on it.

I think all Nintendo's core franchises will be there,
I think all the one's on Nintendoland will be made because its a good way to lure casual gamers into that franchise.
1. They play the minigame, 2. they like it, 3. Nintendo releases full game, 4. people who never would have bought it buy it before buy the full game.

While I have no inside information to share, I'd still bet a fairly large sum of money on a Zelda game releasing on the WiiU. Nintendo would be pretty dumb not to do it.

Of course we will have a Zelda on Wii U. The promise of the great first party games is why I'll be getting a Wii U.

The real question is will we get a megaton announcement of a 3DS Zelda tonight! Nintendo has said they want to sell more 3DS's in NA and Europe and releasing a Zelda on 3DS (along with localizing more of the games in Japan) would be a very good start. Especially considering the other games that are coming (Luigi's Mansion/Paper Mario/etc.....). Personally, I don't think we'll see a 3DS Zelda now, but I can still hope!
