You were clearly not speaking of Linux in your comments... let's be honest here.

And you focus on their OS only as well. Earlier you were talking hardware components and customer service.

Windows 7 is the best OS MS has ever made. Again... OS X (with Unix at its core of course) is better.

Indeed, less people complain about MS OS now. but no one really is a fan either. compare that will people who have experienced apple products and it's a whole different ball game. Apple takes "users" and turns them into "fans."

And now we have the Microsoft Frankenstei... uh... "Surface" (wasn't that the name of the Casino Table they were trying to sell a few years ago?) which is a wannabe iPad, but less focused and doesn't even really compete with the Android tablets, much less Apple. It's more like a notebook that doesn't excel at being a notebook. And if it's more of a tablet, well, it doesn't excel at being a tablet. that is Microsoft for you and that is why they are not looked upon so favorably outside of Xbox 360 (which they actually did remarkably well on).

One good thing MS did though, was to copy Apples Smart cover and add keyboard keys. They may not have done anything special with the tablet itself. But they definitely created a great accessory.

I repeat, APPLE is the most horrible company in customer service.

Their policies say precisely, that if the customer wants a good customer service, THEY HAVE to buy their product through an authorized APPLE store.. Outside US there is not many authorized apple stores, or at least thats what they claim when you try to return a DOA item...

And these (there thousands more) are US customers through apple!! Imagine other countries, including mine, that DOA is nonexistent.. And people must be aware, that if they buy something from APPLE and turns to be dead from day 1, or problematic.. APPLE WILL refuse u DOA return policy.. they offer u only service... so u cant get ur money back, YOU CANT turn the device back and get another one because its dead... This company sucks...

In my country 2 years ago, an authorized apple seller and service (inside official apple list of stores) sued a customer, because he demanded DOA.. He had the right to request it... so apple sued him for 100.000 euro because he did..

I agree with the others that this has become very off topic. This detour has run its course.

I now know who it is I'm responding to and see the logic in not wasting time with this type of thinking that supports opinion over fact.

Linking to apples support forum actually shows how transparent they are and how easy it is to get help.

Try finding something useful on ms knowledge base. Then try to get ms to support you And still have money in your wallet.

Support forums are going to be full of nothing but problems and disagreements. That's by nature.

But everyone who rates customer service and satisfaction has apple at #1.

I think they know what they're talking about.

Apple is important because Nintendo recognized them as their biggest threat a couple years ago.

If they ever do make a dedicated console (hard to imagine), they would be hard to beat. They are richer than Microsoft many times over. In fact, they could buy Microsoft with only a quarter of the money they have in savings.

Nintendo is the best pure gaming company in the world. They seek to make the best gaming experiences. They create hardware that enables it and then they create the software as well.

The wii u kind of looks like an apple product and seems to share the same kind of focus.

Nintendo hardware is back to their roots it would seem. Build a powerful machine but don't emphasize the power. Let the games speak for themselves.

If someone wants a ps4 and a wii u, go ahead. Or just a ps4 if that's what gets you going.

Sony seems to be the Ine in site straights here. The ps3 has been a disaster for them.

And they don't have the reserves to build a crazy powerful console now. They'll have to be very careful and it will be interesting how they toe the line. I'm guessing they'll do something desperate like the far cry team and push the "adult" stuff in their marketing and exclusives.

Ms is one to look at. They have been hugely successful this gen. Not only in console sales, but in game sales. 360 has a great game tie in ratio. They've also been making a killing on Xbox live sales.

Nintendo continues to focus on the core experience, while also offering strong online this time. It sounds like the right formula.

It always seems that ms is just looking for ways to take (money) from the consumer. On the other hand, Nintendo seems to always give (fun gaming experience, innovation, service, etc) to the consumer. With Nintendo, you buy the console and the game. And you don't feel left out because you haven't overpaid for the privilege of connecting your console to the Internet you already pay for.

i read like half the posts in the entire topic and this is what i have to say

the piece stated was either completely made up or was stated with little 2nd person information, why would a person be so vague if he hates what hes developing for?
we have already supplied soo much information that were veering off into apple vs microsoft (claps hand over mouth before things come out)
