I don't see what squealing has to do with this.

Retro usually make games for series that were NOT on the last gen of consoles. Metriod and Donkey Kong Country for instance. Both Star Fox and F-zero fit this bill.

Going back to this statement, is that a mission statement that they operate by or just an observation? I'm assuming it's the latter meaning that they could develop any game they choose to really.

Yes, that was quite the squeal.

Either way, there are only four possibilities I see. In order of least likely to most likely:

• Metroid (because they just made one)
• New IP (it's Retro Studios)
• Star Fox (If you count handhelds, Star Fox still existed last generation [Assault])
• F-Zero (because it works with the controller and all that crap)

I'm still betting on a new IP. It just seems like Nintendo would want a fresh, new hardcore-focused title on Wii U to really shock people. Retro, being a western developer, is the perfect Nintendo studio to undertake this task. Plus Iwata specifically said that there are both "traditional and brand new" games being worked on right now. That indicates that there are at least a few new IPs in the works for Wii U. I have no doubts that Retro would do an amazing job with Star Fox, I just think it's slightly more likely, and I personally would prefer it, that they are working on something completely new.

I havent been wrong about anything Wii U releated yet. Retro Studios has said what we are working on is something everyone wants. And somewhere I forget where....an interview? Nintendo power magazine? I forget but someone said something like there will be barrel rolling. So unless its Donkey Kong lol then its Starfox. Plus even DarkCloud1983 says so. He hasnt been wrong yet either.

You seem pretty certain about something that is only rumoured.

Miyamoto's new game is the new IP for Nintendo lol. They will introduce the newest character to the Nintendo family via Miaymoto.
