Om actually loving the fact that if im stuck...i can browse on the gamepad to look up info simultaneously...saves time running to the pc or using my phone .

For a console OS yes some may even say its excessive but considering with that 1 gig of ram you can have a game running at the same time have multiple tabs on the internet browser as well as youtube up something previous only possible for PCs (I think)

Yeah. I can pause a game, and probably browse teh interwebs while I'm in the bathroom, strategically planning the downfall of my peers who dare not use the gamepad to it full advantage.

Oh this is great!! HTML5 support is a nice quirk. I'm happy this isn't something they slabbed on sloppily.I'm hoping this isn't as stiff feeling as the 3DS one though.

How well will the video engine work?

Wii U supports HTML5 video with the H.264 codec, so yes you can watch youtube but slight catch, any videos that have adds on them, you can't watch in HTML5.

The Web browser is webkit based, so it's the same underlying rendering technology as Chrome/Chromium and Safari.

For teh pron, you need to have a site that does HTML5 video

What is the Wii U browser based on, I understand it's no longer Opera like the Wii.

For now...flash will be near obsolete in a few years. Everything is going HTML5 and its a good move on Nintendo's half.
