Since you feel this way I say cancel your preorder. Just wait till next year to see if the system will have games you want.

It really isn't going to hurt you much to get it for Christmas or afterwards. There really isn't much coming out between the launch, and then that would be worth getting. (As far as I remember.) You may as well just wait it out, which is what I'm doing.

Its basically going to be get it now or don't get it at all. I don't know how much longer my job is going to last me since I start college in January, and my parents don't have the money to pay for one.

As your buddy I say get Wii u I have like 10 friends who got borderlands 2 day 1 (i would never get it i hated borderlands) and they have already beaten it it does not seem to be even as long as the first one and the best part about it from what i've seen is the easter eggs. Zombiu is going to be 10x better then borderlands 2 imo. I'm getting dishonored so I have nothing to say against it lol.

Honestly if you really don't want it don't get it because either your going to love it kinda like it or hate it and 2 out of the 3 will have you regretting your purchase but me i'd trade every good game coming out soon to get my hands on the Wii U so I'm glad i have mine pre-ordered

The only reason im off about it kind of is because my Vita which i was super excited for is collecting dust. It was mind blowing for about a month

I'm getting store credit toward the U when I'm able to preorder it at Gamestop by trading in a lot of Gamecube/DS/Wii/GBA

You should probably save money for college. The WiiU may or may not be great, but it's better to get one after you are financially secure.

I wouldn't cancel, namely because if pre-orders are any indication, we might be looking at a situation that the Wii was in. AKA: Sold out constantly for a loooong time.

Besides, if you wait for those games, the inevitable price drop might happen by the time you get around to buying them.

That being said, I've gotta say that I am in the same boat. I'm missing out on things like Professor Layton 5, Okami, Nights HD, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, etc, but I know it'll be worth it in the end. Besides...it's not like the other games you and I want will be going anywhere anytime soon.

I can't really trust Nintendo anymore. After the 64 they went down hill with heavy hitters. The wii let me down so hard.
I really really really want a wii u because the games look amazing so far, but outside of the launch window what is there?
People say Star Fox, Zelda, 3d Mario. But none of this is guarnteed my wii is collecting dust while my 64 gets played from once to twice a week.

If you're buying a nintendo console and don't enjoy nintendo's own games, you're doing something wrong.

I enjoy Nintendo's games a ton I just got burned by the wii's controls

I think I would keep it if I were you. It sounds like deep down you like the core nintendo 1st party games which will be in HD and have amazing game mechanics that no other console will currently offer. Boarderlands 2 will just get cheaper and cheaper, if you do not already own a console to play boarderlands 2 with just remember they will probably get cheeper as well. Keep it and keep working :-)

I have 360,Vita, Ps3,WII so having a console to play it on isn't a problem lol

Good grief, sounds like you've got your entertainment center packed, Can't believe you bought all 3 consoles. I would sell the PS3 toward the wii U. I would not trade the Wii until after you get the wii U so that you can transfer all of your Wii Shop purchases. That's what I'm doing anyways. I was thinking about trading in my 360 but my wife reminded me she likes dance central :-)

Got: 3ds, and Ps2. Pre-ordered: Wii U and White Vita. Wii U is what I paid every penny for since I want before Christmas.
Ps Vita White is my Christmas gift :-) For my 21st birthday in February I'm gonna get an Xbox 360.
