I never doubted it's capabilities for a second okay maybe just a little. Why do I keep watching videos about the Wii U? It just makes the wait seem longer! :/ Also I promoted this on my blog if that's okay.

Yeah, I think most the people with doubts were probably not huge Nintendo fans....because face it....we know what Nintendo is capable of :P

I'll be honest, I did have my doubts if the screen was going to responsive or not or if there was going to be any lag issues.

Nice to see that I was wrong. Hopefully every Wii U game runs as smoothly as Rayman Legends. :)

I never thought the screen would be unresponsive or have lag, but this is a very nice thing to witness. Just makes it that much more sweeter to have trusted in Nintendo's capabilities.

Yea makes the wait longer but its something we want so we are going to read about it day and night till it comes out lol.

And i never doubted it. Come on they made the ds. First touchscreen system.
My only question is , if it was a heat base screen would it have been better then the pressure that the wii u game pad is.

Very nice. But it doesn't utilize assymmetrical gameplay: this could also be done on any other touch device for example.

They know software very well, they know no-latency* is more important than everything else. That's why they also make the best consoles overall, the quality and reliability as well as hardware is exceptional, audio DSP will make so much sense when a lot of developer will finally get to work on nintendo tech.

For a touch screen that is going to be primarily used with fingers they really should have gone with a capacitive screen.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.

RIP in peace Nintendo.

I would agree with this also. However, I believe Nintendo still wants the option of a stylus to be there.

I agree. What would we do if we didn't have a stylus to use for drawings in messages?

If Nintendo thought the consumers would be doubting anything about the Wii U, they would have fixed everything about it before showing us. Or at least before releasing it to us. I've never had doubts with Nintendo products just great excitement.

I've read an article in Nintendo Power about Rayman Legends, and Michael Ancel said that the touch screen on the Gamepad has a latency of 1/60 of a second. That's a single frame.

I would've preferred capacitive. It opens the variety of touch screen operations, and potentially give way to even more games.

I can see why they would've picked resistive, assuming it's cheaper to make for the Gamepad.

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

There are stylus that are compatible with capacitive screens. As Auzzie Wingman said, I think the issue here is price; there are even resistive screens that allow multi-touch but I'd assume they're also more costly.

This statement is false. The previous statement is true.
