It all depends on the size and distance from the tv. As an example my TV is also my Computer monitor so I am pretty close to my screen and so resolution is more important most of the time than good graphics because I can see every change in resolution easily now if you was sitting 15-20 feet from your TV than resolution isn't going to be a problem as the only thing you will notice is if the video is in widescreen or not unless you have a 50-60 inch tv than everything is going to look blocky as you pretty much destroyed any pixel density you have.NSMBW looks fine on my hdtv, but then I use a component cable with my wii.
