The Metroid mini-game on Nintendo Land does not count as a fully fledged HD Metroid game. Are you seriously suggesting that?

Halo 4 leaked, you can find it on torrent sites. I have modified Xbox, and I have played the game. Im not the only one that is saying that Halo 4 is the best looking game on consoles. I sad it 100 times, I mainly play games on PC in full HD, all details High, DX11, and Halo 4 can beat most if not all of PC games in same resolution. Game is beter looking than Crysis! They did fantastic job!

Second, PS3 have weaker GPU than Xbox. To compensate that, programmers need to employ several SPEs. SPEs are not good at processing graphics, they are not efficient, so results are catastrophic. PS3 can't render textures in resolution that Xbox 360 can, lightning is not as good and so on. They did really fantastic job with physics by the way.

I have played RDR on both consoles, Xbox 360 version look better, it has more characters on screen, view distance is better. You can see this in the video below:


Why I was telling this, because horsepower means nothing if you don't balance your system. Wii U is weary balanced system!

P.S. I don't support piracy, I will buy Halo 4. On the other hand, I can do with hardware I bought whatever I want!


I have to say,i agree with you.I also have a flashed xbox,and whilst ive got halo 4,i refuse to play it yet for fear of the ban hammer lol.But i have watched loads of videos and its clear theyve done an amazing job with the gfx,i cant wait to play it.

Also,i dont really like those comparison videos,although the red dead one you posted you can clearly see the 360 has a better res.

Also, you're seriously whining about getting a part of a franchise on the brand new HD console? That's pathetic. Besides there's a lot of other attractions too. It's not 'Metroid Mii', it's Nintendo Land.

In the OP's first post,he says the Wii-U has x8 the amount of RAM as a ps3,which qoute, "has 256mb". That is wrong,both 360 and PS3 have 512mb,the difference between the two,is the 360 can divide its ram up any way it chooses. The PS3 has 256mb allocated to system and GPU respectively,theres no way to divide it up,hence why ps3 cant have cross game chat because it needed a few more megs from the system ram which it simply cant have.

Also,OP says Wii-U has 2GB GDDR3 ram,that it just a wild guess mate,noone knows what ram the Wii-u has.For all we know it could be DDR4,or something completely different.


No, the PS3 does not have "512MB of RAM". The other 256MB is VRAM, not system (GDDR) RAM.

As for the Wii U, it was confirmed to have 2GB of RAM by Nintendo. Where have you been?

Do I really need to post Halo 4 Screens? There are tons of games, multiplatform ones, that look better on Xbox 360. Uncharted 3 can't come close to GOW. BTW that screens are heavyly modified, just like this one:

Maybe Retro should consider Unreal Engine 4? I don't know about some people, but I prefer the looks of Unreal. CryEngine is definitely pretty though.



Neither did I. But I wasn't expecting another Wii situation either. With the help of HD and Nintendo's awesome tech team, this will be able to directly compete in the next-gen.


I don't know. MP was based on UE2, so why not use UE4 indeed. Or 3.9 but something close. Though CE3 would do peeerfectly fine.

Uhh no... The Last of Us and Uncharted 3 are better looking than Halo 4 & Gears of War.

We can debate on that all day, that's not the point! The point is that PS3 is not balanced machine, too powerful CPU, weak GPU, multiplatform games look better on Xbox 360! Wii U on the other hand is very balanced machine, with CPU that is strong in general purpose operations not floating points, GPU that can help in AI and physics etc. And most importantly, Wii U is easy to develop for!

Hmm I've heard the opposite. Great GPU and pure horse scat CPU. Making it hard to develop for. Either way, Sony ran themselves into the ground. The Wii U is well balanced. With 2GB of GDDR5 RAM (and a possible 1GB of VRAM), it should do just fine in the next-gen.

There has been multiple developers speak on how easy it is to develop for.

2gb of DDR5? Be realistic, it is DDR3, there is no need for DDR5 when you have 32mb edram! The biggest advantage that Wii U have over any next gen console is the mcm, and bandwidth between CPU and GPU!

They can, but than their console wont be much more powerful than Wii U!

Rumors say that Sony want to use APU and one separate GPU chip. Just to say, APU is no where near to Wii U's MCM when it comes to bandwidth!

seriously there is even more devs KNOWN devs that have said its easy to develop for. about 4 months back there was a rumor: http://mynintendonew...s-complexities/ .... from an "anonymous" developer saying they wont be working on Wii U that it was too hard and complex to develop for. personally i would take the word from the "KNOWN" developers (links i posted) over some anonymous dev who probably doesnt like nintendo and is too lazy to be creative with the gamepad.

Not true! Nintendo, until Wii, had best looking games on their system! NES, snes, n64, GC (Xbox not included), had best looking games of their generation!

I agree, good game is not determine by good graphics, but it sure helps to have nice looking Zelda!
