Wow confirmed 80 hours for the Pro Controller that's amazing, the GamePad's battery life is kinda meh, but it's understandable for what the thing does, I hope Nintendo or a third party bring out a longer lasting battery and I hope I can still use it when it charges.

That's kind of sad. But considering how powerful it is, I don't care. Is there a cable that comes with the Deluxe edition that you can plug into the Gamepad while it is charging?
Yes it comes with it's own AC adaptor and Charging Cradle.

But none the less when not using it it will be on the charger dock.
And i can see a 3rd party battery coming out but it will probably, make the pad thicker and ofset the weight.

I don't think it plugs into the system so it probably uses a cord like the 3ds. Not sure just a guess.Im just hoping as some have mentioned that you can keep it plugged in while playing.Wondering how long the ac cord for the game pad is now.3-5hrs?Im only getting going at that stage lol

It does have it's own AC Adaptor, it does not plug into the system, the Pro Controller does plug into the system though with a USB cable.

I can understand for what it does, you never know though Nintendo could bring out a longer lasting battery in the future, you gotta admit though 80 hours for the Pro is pretty good

"According to IGN Executive Editor Richard George, the new 6.2 inch touchscreen controller, the Wii U GamePad, lasts for 3-5 hours after one full charge, which takes roughly 2.5 hours. George also reconfirmed that the Wii U Pro Controller lasts for 80 hours after a full charge, which takes approximately 4.5 hours".

If i'm not mistaken I don't think the battery is user replaceable. If that's the case they won't be any third party batteries.
