That's where the Gamepad hooks up in the Blue Falcon, which comes with every copy of F Zero U for Wii U in the Universe. The screen will be used as the games screen because the blue falcon will likely not fit in your house and you may not be able to see a tv well from inside the drivers seat.
I actually believed this until I remembered the one obvious fact that the GamePad's range probably wouldn't even reach outside

Well I just found out what the mystery connector on the gamepad is. You plug in to the cortex of your brain and hook it up to the gamepad there it will proceed to tell you if your body is ready or not.

I think it is, from watching the new unboxings I it does look like the cradle plugs into that.Doesn't the SiNG Party Mic go there? It also may be used for the charging cradle

It would be cool if the port was to hook the Gamepad onto a mount and use it as a steering wheel for racing games.
