Now this seems like a tad bit of an exaggeration on IGN's part because there is no way NSMBW was that crappy and fuzzy looking (but i wouldn't really remember because my copy of NSMBW broke 2 days after the Nintendo disc warranty expired and they refused to replace it even though i did absolutely nothing wrong except buy a garbage disc, but thats another story for another time)

But I am completely fine with this exaggeration if it makes more people want to purchase the game... and the console

Wow. It definitely looks better. I think the Wii footage is slightly misleading though. I've been playing some NSMBW and it doesn't look exactly like that.

Looks right to me.
I have seen the wii ver. On a small tv and it looks nice, but on my 42inch it looks like the video clip.
Remember the wii was only a max of 480i with the comp cables.

But funny how the game is basiclly the same lol. But thats nintendo they dont break there models to much on mario games.

Hmm...well it looks better. I'm a little bummed out, I thought this was a full on sequel in the series. It looks more like a remake with some small and large changes here and there. On one hand that video made me excited, on the other hand, it bummed me out. I've already played the hell out of New Super Mario Bros on the Wii. I sure hope there is some exclusive stages or something truly new that stands out. Mario is in dire need of a new 3D based game (in HD) and a NEW game in general. As in a game that doesn't just re-use old soundbytes and stage ideas and actually tries to be different. The re-using, remaking retro trend WAS fun, it is starting to get stale. Be that as it may, I am still getting it during the launch. But yea I was thinking it was a full on sequel, all the websites says it is. That clip makes me think its a juiced up slightly changed remake.

I'm glad the quality has improved but I personally don't care about graphics when it comes to Mario games. I know that even if the graphics were terrible, the game would still be amazing.

Were you using the default cables? Cause the red/white/green cables do 480p, while the standard red/white/yellow cables do 480i

Had the upgraded cables for best picture. It just ur up scaling on a big tv it doesnt look as good. Smaller the screen the better the look.
