This has been a question of mine for some time now. The finished Media for the Wii U was stated to be a blu-ray based. Does the media go under the same build processing as regular blu-ray. As in is it smudge scratch and finger print resistant. Basically just wondering if they are as durable

All I know is that it can store as much as a Blu-Ray disc. It's called a High Density Wii U Disc.

It's bd based, that's all we know. ask one of the people who got the blops2 disc to stand on it for you to test.

I like the fact that these discs are smoothed round the edges, most discs feel like they are cheaply smacked together (which I know they are) espesialy DVDs, somethimes you can still feel the glue round the edge of the discs, but from what I've heard these discs are very well made, I think they might be scratch resistant, actually I think all discs should be.

Looks kinda like the ps3 disc. I picked up AC3 today and it looks the same.
Either way since it is a disc and they are pretty much all made the same. Clear plastic on the bottom and top layer for data. They will still need to be taken care of the same way as dvds and blurays.

Just don't throw them or have them laying face-down on your coffee table and you should be fine.
