I wanna see co-op in the next 3D Mario. They were going to do Co-op on a canned sequel to Mario 64, and there's a hack for Galaxy 2 that allows for co-op.

im just talking about 3d mario games, 2d marios (well new series is anyways) are just copies, nothing special what so ever. galaxy 2 is the only 2d mario that is scary similar to the first, all the others have their own unique qualitys, galaxy 1 and galaxy 2 are jsut the same game cut in 2 discs

So really what you're saying is galaxy 2 didn't innovate enough.
It added a lot of yoshi-based power-ups and went back to a world map.
I think it's innovative that nintendo re-used the same art style, it's never been done since Mario 2.

I know you guys are going to hate me for saying this.
I believe that the next mario game should be a more open game. I'm not saying full on free roam, because that might hurt the franchise a bit too much. It shouldn't rely on a heavily level based idea. It could still be level based, but i think it could give the game a fresh kick where it is needed. Is anyone with me on this?

P.S. By all means keep the world system. That is one of my favorite parts of the game (except you water world. Yeah, that's right, I'm looking at you cheeo-cheeps and bloopers).

Why is he apologizing for this... every other console has to have software updates... the update took like an hour at most...

All he had to say is the update was to prevent the game rating companies from spoiling every little detail all at once and that it added to the surprise and magicalness of the Wii U experience...

If the Wii U Paper Mario will be anything like the 3DS one, you can count me out. It was disappointing, especially when waiting for it specifically since 2010.

I returned my copy the next day, Nintendo really dropped the ball on that one.

So I'm not the only one? Wow I thought I was the only one disappointed. I really played Paper Mario for the story, and once I saw the whole level layout I got so disappointed. No one talks, only toads. After waiting over a year for this game, it was upsetting... Too bad I digitally downloaded, so I can't return it :/
