This demo can only be played 30 times. So there's a limit.

I just done the first level of the demo and I'm in love with it already. It also has escort parts in it too which I enjoyed as its like a new gameplay element which works really well imo. 9/10 rating from me.
Best platformer on the Wii-U overtaking Mario.

There were multiple reasons it fell short, the biggest most in-your-face being the graphics. I don't know how to explain it, but they just looked... strange. It's not as easy to point out like New Super Mario Bros U's plastic-y shine though, so I don't really know if it's just my eyes, our TV, or something else entirely.
Second would have to be that the controls seemed less smooth and perfected like Origin's were. It's still a while until release though, so who knows, this may be different by then. That and the Murphy level is, for lack of a better term, stupid. I thought this was following in Origin's steps in being a high-speed platformer of sorts. Not... Move every few seconds escorter...
The last, but definitely not the smallest issue I had with it was the stage design. Origin's had a flow to it that seemed unmatched in any recent games. This games' is more clunky, and the "rhythm" to the level was much harder to achieve. This is a huge flaw whenever you consider that entire stages are musical-based (that being said, I love Castle Rock, the flow is just really hard to get into).
I will still buy it, but will wait for it to drop in price. As a launch title it would be great, but now that it's being released alongside things like Pikmin 3, Monster Hunter Ultimate, and Wonderful 101 (actually I'm a bit iffy on this one as well, but for arguments sake it is a good publisher making it), it is much less attractive.

I was going to buy Legends day one if it was a launch title, but that was only due to the fact I wanted something to play on our new system. That said, I'm kind of glad that the game was pushed back because the game doesn't live up to expectations from what I saw in the demo. Which is really quite a shame since hype levels for this title were quite high.

Whilst that is your opinion I have to say I disagree with everything you say. In my opinion it far surpasses Rayman Origins and judging by the demo levels it will be one of the best if not the best 2D platform games ever when its released. Controls wise it is perfect and works great. Graphics wise its absolutely stunning and the best looking 2D game I've ever seen. Level design wise its challenging and well designed but fun to play.

Thank you for doing nothing more than respectfully giving your opinion.
I won't reply to the control and level design comment as it would just be a repeat of my above post really. However I do have to agree with you that the graphics are stunning. They just have a strange... movement to them. However with the latest news that the game is running at 60FPS at 1080p I understand why it has the odd feeling to them for me - I guess since I've never actually seen first-hand something running at these resolutions that they are just foreign to me.

The ps3 and 360 release where also running at 1080p at 60fps. The increased frame rate will only make the controls more responsive in any case, and resolution will not change the controls.
