Wii U project

- will be a challenging game that will get people together
- expect it to be both very flashy and addicting
- decided that if they were going to jump into the next generation, they’d like to have the perfect team in order to do it the right way
- they believe working alongside Nintendo will be a huge advantage
- they believe they should have a better understanding of the Wii U from Nintendo

The following comments come from Monolith Soft’s Michihiko Inaba and executive producer, Hirohide Sugiura...

Inaba: “I’d like to make an HD game that will wow the players. I want to show that Japan can still keep up with the USA when it comes next gen technology. Our goal is to become something like the developers of the Fallout series, Bethesda Softworks.”

Sugiura: “I believe that today’s Japanese gaming industry has lost its touch, and we’d like to do something to change that.”

Sounds good to me, I'd love to see a challenging game that's flashy and addicting made by Monolith.

I loved Xenoblade Chronicles and very much so look forward to this next title from them. I hope its as good as the build up!

It sounds like we wont be getting a Xenoblade sequel..or anything like it - but still..mark me as super excited! It just sucks that the way their talking is ...they haven't started yet...boo

It certainly sounds interesting, but without any information on what it actually is I can't get excited about it yet. Hope to hear some real new soon.

Hopefully they are aiming for Bethesda's advantages, and don't accidentally pick up their weaknesses along the way.

I like Fallout 3 kinda, but it.. doesn't make me want to continue now that I'm stuck with too powerful enemies. But that's another story. What really caught my eye was the use of the word next-gen. They want to use capabilities to the fullest, meaning it might just be the game that will convince people of the Wii U's hardware power.

Am I the only one who wants to see a skyrim complete edition on Wii U with all of the dlc and possibly hi-res textures? They could even add Link's hat, tunic, the Dylan shield, master sword, and hero's bow as exclusives.
