Hah, yeah, I was going to post this earlier but I couldn't find it for some reason.

Mario was centered around platforming skills and reflexes (sorta) and was turned into an RPG on SNES, it continued as Paper mario (again... sorta), if you make mario an RPG, you could make Zelda an RPG, heck if you can make those RPG's you could make a DonkeyKong Rythm game, or Metroid Pinball, or Yoshi puzzle game, or Starfox Third person shooter, or Zelda sidescrolling platformer, or a Kid Icarus Card game, or a puzzling adventure game inspired by miamoto's garden, or mash everything into a fighting game centered around pinball mechanics. (if you didnt catch that, all of those were made), the point is a Paper Zelda would be one of the least ridiculous things to come out of Nintendo, and is possible but not ground breaking. still neat though.

I'm saying it would be a failure. You've seen how good Nintendo is at making creative, new things. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I like the idea of Paper Zelda a lot. If it is real then these are the partners I would want:

Zelda.
Navi.

Darunia.

Ruto.

And some other characters from Ocarina of Time and other Zelda games.

In retrospect a paper zelda game would definitely be great, BUT I'm still more excited for a full on next-gen Zelda game.

Think about it Intellgents system can be making the paper zelda game while the zelda team makes the deidacted zelda game just like paper mario and super mario 3d land the point is that its probaly not going to be made by the zelda team if nintendo wanted paper zelda.

The only reason Mario has lots of sport games and other side games is because Mario is the icon of Nintendo and the series he is in is not as dark as Zelda. If Zelda was the icon of Nintendo. I think Miyamoto will do what he does to Mario. I would like Zelda to have many other side games like Mario because I love Zelda and want to see the series brunch out more. Paper Zelda would be good. and it would be Toon Link (Wind Waker Link) because it would be all kiddish :3
