Can't believe I made it to 'Pokey' status.
It's pretty much equivalent to 'Spectre' status from Mass Effect, less the special privilege such as the ability to evade any questions and suspicions from superiors; so pretty much isn't actually equivalent.

I should keep this date on my profile page to mark this milestone.

I'm not a huge fan of this ranking system as it promotes spamming, useless posts and posting for the sake of posting. (There are people on this forum who do it, you know who you are and we know who you are).

I know I'm new and all, but I do have lots of forum experience as I have been a moderator and staff member in other forums, so I know for a fact that this ranking system results in people boosting up their post count just to get ranked. (That wouldn't be so bad if the posts were actually good and not useless like some people do)

In my experience in forums, I have found that the best system for ranking is the "rep system". You gain ranking points accoarding to how many "rep points" you gain. Earning "rep points" comes from people giving a "like" or a "thumbs up" from your post.....this encourages well thought out posts, intelligent posts, funny posts, and contributing posts.

Just something to consider for the future of this forum, as LOTS of people will be joining soon when the WiiU comes out and spamming will be massive because of the current ranking system.

I'de like to know what you guys think of this idea, I'm open to criticism or counter arguments.

Nah man, this forum is still young. If this change did somehow happen, it would only really affect about a 1000 people or so, which will only be a fraction of the members in, say, a year

It's really up to the admins; if useless and spam posts don't bug them (they bug the hell out of me), they won't feel the need to change this. I am not one to single anyone out, but there is one really good example on this site of someone who posts for the sake of posting without adding ANYTHING to the discussion in order to rank up, which is really annoying.

well i honestly don't think i will be here for that long but i guess for future user's they may change things depending on how much traffic this site gets and how many members join.

As far as people posting just to up there post count i haven't seen that happening lately but yes there have been times where people just post things just to add to there post count.

I like the Ranking System but I also like where you're going with this.
