for all the haters it is being reported nearly 3 million wii u have been sold in 6 weeks. that number is amazing. gamestop has sold just under 350,000. that is just 1 store in the us. wii u is doing just shy of what the wii did and far outselling the 360 and ps3 did in their first 6 weeks.

This is a little more than a week ago. It says 2.45 millions of units sold. If you do the math, it should be be at 2.9 millions (2.87 exactly), which is not so far from 3 millions. It's not quite that, but hey, it's legit.

I've heard vgchartz isn't always credible, but most people have been reporting at least above 2 mill. And that was 2 weeks ago. Only 1 million units a month to hit their target if it;s 2.5 million sold today

but it already raped vita sales, but we need to wait and see how well it stacks up to xbox720/PS orbis sales, but both of them releasing close to the same tiem will hurt eachother sales.

If this is indeed true I find those numbers to be impressive, especially when considering the short time span that the console has been available for purchase. I'm sure even more consumers will purchase the WII U once titles like WII Fit U, Pikmin 3, etc are released.

what the Wii you think im a little kid that needs a picture. are you a moron or what. the 3 million isn't official. its a approximate on ign. the 320,000 by 1 store[gamestop] is 100% real and is in their quarterly report. that's a average of 55,000 a week by 1 store. the 3 million is basing on what the sales have been in japan and us and estimating Europe since their reports are not that reliable. just pointing to a fact that the wii u is selling very good. far surpassing the 360 and ps3 at launch and not really not that far behind the wii. just the fact that 1 store is selling 55,000 a week average is amazing. throw in amazon toys r us every other site and store I can see how the estimate 3 million sold now. what the Wii is the deal with hey you have no profile picture? man is there a site for gaming that isn't 9 year brats.

Profile pictures are over rated.

I feel they will be close to meeting their 5.5 million mark. At least somewhere in the 4 millions, which is pretty damn good.

5.5 million is going to be really tough considering the holidays are over now, but the launch has still gone pretty well.
