It should stay on handhelds. It's a game I like to play on the go, and where ever the heck I want.

See this is what really frustrates me about Nintendo. There is not a single reason why this could not have had cross play compatibility for Wii U and 3DS like MH.
Currently playing: AC 3, ZombiU, BLOPS 2, Nintendoland, NSMBU, Nano Assault Neo, Halo 4, Darksiders 2, and Far Cry 3

They should make an open world pokemon for wii U with the abillity to take pictures of pokemon in a pokemon snap way

Even though I would have a nerdgasm if it came to consoles and I really like the idea, I still love Pokemon on a handheld it just seems more natural, I don't know, my opinions on a main series console Pokemon game are torn.

The thing I've never understood is why they don't just make a console counterpart to the games. While we are discussing it what do you guys think of them releasing Pokemon Z version as said console counterpart?

the main games have always been on handhelds, with consoles getting some hit and miss spinoffs. we will see a Pokemon game for the Wii U, but most likely not a main one. perhaps Pokemon U?

I understand this, but kinda redundant because 3DS is still limited to Wi-Fi only communication.
