By hack n slash I mean games that play out much like God of War and DMC. Please recommend some for either the 3ds, Xbox, or Psp since I'll be buying one soon. Thanks!

Oh yeah, completely forgot about Lollipop Chainsaw. I heard Bayonetta is good too, guess I'll look into it.Bayonetta is great, and Lollipop Chainsaw is ridiculous, so those might be some amount of fun for you.

I know you didnt mention PC. But, I have to direct you to the Diablo series. It is hard to do much better than the series that started the hack n slash genre (pretty much) and made it awesome. that being said, another good hack n slash that is available for Xbox is Dante's Inferno. Its very much like God of war.

Bayonetta was made by the real devil may cry team (which is why they called themselves angel may cry) so definately pick that one up. Ninja gaiden, 3 but the ps3/360 ones where pretty crap, hopefully theyll get the de crappified wii u release ported soon.
Dragons Dogma, its an open world rpg, but its from capcom, and it nailed down its controls as tight as any capcom hack n slash. I really, REALLY like this game, and its all because the controls/combat are so damn slick.
Maybe the souls series? (dark souls/demon souls) I certainly suggest them.
The closest thing I can think of on 3ds is Kid icarus's ground segments and multiplayer.
If you are willing to go back a bit, I can point you to ps2's god fist, the godfather of devil may cry. Madworld on wii (same people who made god fist/real devil may cry, and definately, DEFINATELY red steel 2, as its basically a hack in slash in first person. But dont touch the first red steel. Dont even think about the first red steel, just pretend it never existed.
Sorry I couldnt be more help on the newer platforms youve listed... Variety... wasnt this generations strong suit.
