A Florida woman married to a high-ranking intelligence officer and former Navy SEAL was arrested Tuesday after police say she lured a 16-year-old boy into having sex with her.
Investigators would not reveal how of where 37-year-old Alexis Anne Colson, of Land O' lakes, met the alleged victim.
However, police said that Colson arranged to meet the unnamed minor for sex at least on one occasion and sent her 15 explicit photos of herself.
The woman was charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor and with sending harmful electronic transmissions. She was released from jail Wednesday after posting $15,000 bond, Tampa Bay Times reported.
According to her Facebook page, the woman, who moved to Land O' Lakes from Connecticut a couple of years ago, is married to Tim Colson, and the couple apparently have three young children.
Mr Colson’s LinkedIn profile states that he currently serves as an executive officer with the United States Africa Command, also known as Africom, based in McDill Air Force Base in Tampa.
The base became the subject of public scrutiny last year when the sex scandal that brought down former CIA Director David Petraus shed light on a group of ambitious socialites like the now infamous Jill Kelley who were desperate to curry favor with the high command.

Dammit where was she when I was growing up.

But to be honest I don't think its a big deal... perhaps its because society doesn't view this has a horrable horrable crime... just a 16 year old boy getting lucky. When I was 16 I had better taste tough. Not into Cougars.

Sounds like quite the double standard you have."16 years old"
"lured"
"victim"
Yeah...no...
Think about if the genders were reversed, then people would be blowing up about this.

For a reason though.
Girls mostly get lured, and the only ones who can lure girls are boys. Which would automatically make boys the ones who lure, and don't get lured.
What a stupid sentence, but in a roundabout way it makes me seem smart, right?

Boys don't always think about sex, nor are they always predators.

I was pretty much joking from the start.
Let's be honest, though.
When you're 16 year olds, generally in the epitome of your sexual transformation as a human being with hormones going around everywhere you're not a victim when the word "lured" is used instead of "forced".
unless you were lured into a situation and then forced to do something you didn't want to. But I don't see that anywhere in the article.

Unwanted and forced sexual intercourse is an issue. If someone is 16 and is lured to do something they can hardly understand, it's on the part of the aggressor. That is how some rapes happen, because the victim is thrust into a situation in which they are unfamiliar with.I was pretty much joking from the start.

Nothing, but they're supposed to be informed of that when they write the article.

If he/she was 13-14 I could understand, 16 year olds are old enough to understand sex and everything that revolves around it.
A lot of people are still uneasy about that but the truth is that in this day and age, teenagers are well aware of everything about sex by the time they're 15.
I'm sorry but I couldn't overlook the way you put "thrust" in that sentence.

Hardly. They are emotionally immature and psychologically weak. I might sound harsh, but almost all teenagers are oblivious to how the world works and the people in it.If he/she was 13-14 I could understand, 16 year olds are old enough to understand sex and everything that revolves around it.

Sure, they might know what sex is. They might have been sexually active before, but it either messes them up or they don't fully realize what they are doing. When a sexually and psychologically mature adult takes advantage of a teenager, you should expect psychological issues to come up.

You're definitely right, and perhaps I'm taking it for granted because a lot of attention is given to sex and all dangers here in the Netherlands.
It's true that teenagers are psychologically weak and immature, but (atleast here) they are well aware of all the dangers around sex.
Actually, 16 is a legal age here for that exact reason.

Kids are aware, and horny, but they lack the forethought to decide things which could impact their lives forever, which is why it's statutory rape.Nothing, but they're supposed to be informed of that when they write the article.
