Its an update thread not a dupe. That would be like if when SSB4 gets a release date we can only post it in the origional SSB thread started in 2011 or whenever the site started.

Its not an update its a duplicate thread. Even if it was an update it could have been posted in the original thread to give continuation to the topic. This way that discussion is split between the two threads which is silly.

To be fair, you called a thread on an actual GPU die shot a dupe when it had never been shown before, we already have other threads that have shared this exact same news, albeit from a different source, makes it easy to lose track of what's been shared on the subject already.

Shouldn't mods be merging duplicate threads at any rate?

Yes, but when they are reported. You can't expect the mods to read through every single post on the site.

I find it funny how people say, "I won't be buying the game now," because I know you all, not me, I don't like Rayman, will buy it anyway - and you will buy it on release day and at full price! u.u Maybe you feel like not buying it now because it has been delayed for months and now it is not exclusive to the Wii U but a few days before the game is released I am sure things will be different.

I don't understand peoples' reasoning here. If a marketing team decides to delay something because they'll make more money later, that means they'll make more money to generate more games. With more money they can pay programmers, artists, etc, more money in the future. Obviously delays are about marketing. If you support the game then technically you should support the delay of its release.
