Thread so old they were calling it the Cafe in most posts.
Thread so old they was calling it the Wii2.
Thread so old that dual analogue sticks was speculation.
Thread so old that most original posters have disappeared, never to be seen again.
Thread so old that feld0 wasn't just an urban legend.
Thread so old that feld0 not only existed, but gave a damn about us.
But it's still stickied, so It's totally still legitimate discussion.
...Why is this still stickied?
...Actually, ignore that, I want my post to remain here for all eternity--!

Hopefully Fox news tries this, then.War of the Worlds happened, so this may happen. But there will obviously be multiple stunts by crazy people, cultists, conspiracy theorists, and crazy religious people. Normal news stations know the consequences of such an anticipated event and they can be tried for indirect/direct influence or "manipulation" of the people to commit unlawful acts.
That way, although the world won't end, the world will end up as a much better place

#49192 Wii U controller, Udraw

I wouldn't think too much of it, though. UDraw is a cheap drawing tablet peripheral. The U-Tablet is like a furkleing $1200 professional-grade tablet in comparison. (Figuratively, of course. Don't expect the Wii U to have a two-thousand-and-one sensitivity stylus with a super-hd screen

#49188 What do you HATE about your favorite games.

Outstanding game. What was it known for? Grueling hard difficulty, very large array of characters, a deep, and sometimes confusing, plot that expanded upon it's equally outstanding, but less confusing, predecessor, the lack of motion controls, a sword-smith shop and a less-intuitive, but still decent support system.
What of those do I hate about it? None. All of those are either positive or 'meh' to me. What I hated was how freakeling long each individual fight was >.<
Beautiful and awesome animation, but to shorten each level by a few hours I would turn them off. I don't want to wait 30 seconds just to see the guy I killed die in one hit, like I expected, and another 5 to see me gain 1 exp T.T
GBA games have it right; Nice and quick, but equally awesomesauce.

#46968 Wii U is supposedly "NOT" next gen

My arguments only quote developers as a secondary source to strengthen my argument; I've explained to you many times as to why 3 to 5 not only makes sense, but is likely. No, I just think it's too early to claim that the Wii U is 5 times as powerful as current gen hardware just because one company said that it could be 3 to 5 times as powerful. And just because the makers of Crysis like it that doesn't mean much, remember that they can get optimized versions of their engine to work on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
I've also explained to you why 3 to 5 is an average generational leap; did you miss that, too?

#43701 its just a rumor.... but nintendo should jump on this

This is what I'm saying. Most people are only dedicated to a console for one generation (ie. Because they bought that expensive console) and don't have a particular preference of what they'll get next generation. Nintendo and Epic both know that people will come for Epic's games; If the Wii U is as impressive to them as it is to most other developers, it wouldn't be surprising to see them move to the Wii U for the next generation.... But Gears isn't multiplat... Who's to say Nintendo can't make a deal with them?

Ok... First off, Nintendo doesn't confirm anything of this sort. This isn't even a confirm-able thing; It's just something that happens.im sorry in advance because im about about to sound like an A$$. did nintendo confirm that the next-gen multiplatform titles will use Wii U as base console. its hard for me to imagine that Nintendo going from a company that didnt get multiplatform titles(Wii im looking at you) to a company that developers use as the base to build their games on. you have to remember ps1 sold 100 million consoles... there is a reason developers wanted to use PS2 as their base console. saying all of that if nintendo pulls it off good on them.
(First and a half: DS gets many MANY third-party games; It's the Wii, not Nintendo.)
Secondly, as stated in Hyawatta's post, the Wii didn't get muliplats because it was too much weaker than the other consoles.
Thirdly, the Wii has sold around same amount that the the PS1 had shipped when the PS2 came out (~80 M).
So... Uhh.... Yeah. Nice post Hyawatta

I think he was referring to losing the entirety of the earnings made by the PS1 and PS2, both underpowered consoles.again respectfully disagree. truth is there is a majority of people that want the best tech even reggie of nintendo stated this. sony was able to have legs to stand on this gen because they had the most powerful console and thus the best look or i should say graphically advanced games. i just dont see sony abandoning those fans. but it could be microsoft that has the most powerful console next gen like they did with xbox1.

Even if that's not the case, I like the Wii Remote + Nunchuck better than even the gamecube controller, so I'll be fine.
(Not that it matters too much. I'm buying the console, so by brothers will bow down to MY controller regulations >: D)

It's a mythological raccoon-like creature that can change it's shape. Hence why Tanooki mario can become a statue. (Not sure if that's in SM3DL, thoughActually a Tanooki is a real animal, it basically is Japanese for a Raccoon Dog.

To the PETA thing... I honestly think this is reverse-psychological propaganda by Nintendo.
"Lol, what's this new PETA thing about?"
"Somn to do with Mario Land 3D and the Tanooki suit."
"Wait... The Tanooki suit is in SM3DL!!!????"

#41926 Wii U Hard drive
Posted by Wertville
on 13 November 2011 - 09:08 AM
Actually, the easiest solution is the one they're using... Let them use any non-proprietary external hard-drive. Who cares if it comes with 30GB internal memory when you can just buy a 200 GB external for ~$50? (Which will get much cheaper by this time next year, so more like 400 GB for ~$50)as many of you have said already, the easiest solution is multiple models of wii u for sale at different prices. one including local drive, one not. however this conclusion is almost useless unless nintendo does it. the wii u is so far almost perfect, this absolutely needs to happen if nintendo is to own the next gen.
does anyone know any possible way we can get this information to nintendo? it is vital we attempt even if there is a low chance of the method working.
EDIT: Found a 1.5TB drive for $70. Memory is cheap.
