You really should read the review. The first five paragraphs alone go on and on about how his dad almost threw away the N64.
The review sucks. Boo hoo. All the game reviews from major websites are terrible, but you don't hear anyone complaining do you? No, it's only when the review sullies the precious metascore that review quality matters, doesn't it?
I'm all for criticizing reviews, but not when the criticism is as disingenuous as this.

I want to read the reviews but I don't want to. At least I know that the game is really, really good.
Have you guys seen the review that gave it 80 on metacritic? Those guys got ripped apart in the comments.
So now gamers are attacking reviews for not being positive enough? Jesus christ.

Huh, my images disappeared from my previous post for some reason, let me edit that...
What is it with people who do things well and thinking they suck? Those are really good, especially the detail on the dragon one. I like them a lot. I think any kind of artistic skill is great. I need to start drawing again. I should draw something on Art Academy and post it on the site. Only thing is it always takes me so so long to complete a drawing to the way I like it and believe it's worth showing. You should keep it up, even if it is just for a hobby.
Back when I was a kid, my mom told me a story. In that story, a king promised the hand of his daughter to whoever managed to shoot an arrow across the lake behind his castle. Many famous archers from different countries traveled to the kingdom in order to attempt the trial, but all of them failed spectacularly. The competition went on for months, and while the archers certainly got closer to the goal, they were still far from reaching it. Eventually, they declared it an impossible task and stopped participating.
Many months after the events, a skinny peasant boy carrying an old beat-up bow appeared arrived to the King's castle, asking if he could still participate. The King had long since given up on the idea that anyone was worthy of her daughter's hand, but since he never specified an end date, he told him the offer was still valid, but he tried to discourage him from participating by telling him many famous archers had already failed at the challenge, and there was no way a weak boy like him could best men who had dedicated their entire life to archery. The boy insisted on participating, however, and so the King lead him to the lake, where he witnessed the boy's arrow speed past the lake before losing sight of it as it traveled much farther away than its intended goal. The King, left speechless, took a few seconds to regain his composure before asking him how he managed to do that. The boy looked at him and told him that, while the other archers were aiming to reach the other end of the lake, he was aiming to reach the moon.
That's basically why I think my old drawings sucked, and why I think my current drawings still suck. I'm still far away from reaching the moon.
And also because I'm a lot better now than I was back then, but that's a lame way of explaining it
I don't disagree that any kind of artistic skill is great, but you have to take into consideration that the moment you think your drawings are 'good enough' is when you stop developing as an artist.
Also, yeah, you should draw something and post it, I'm always eager to see other people's art
PS: I'm sorry for hijacking your thread Horchata, please draw yourself slapping me for doing this.

That's pro material right there. You should be drawing for comics or something.
Oh, no, those are Steven's drawings. He said he wouldn't post them, so I'm posting them in his place to piss him off.
I can show you some drawings I did three years ago if you're interested, though.
I can't believe I considered myself a 'good artist' back then...

Draw a pretty boy.
I'm pretty much the most artistic person on here. I just don't post them because I don't want other people to be embarrassed when they compared their drawings to mine.
I probably shouldn't do this, but I'm gonna do it either way.

You folks know how to keep things light, you need that in times like these.
You can almost touch the contempt hidden behind that facade of cordiality...

Congratulations, Sorceror. Hope you don't go mad when people start blaming you for everything.

We'll see what the staff wants to do...
They'll just tell you to knock it off, then they'll contribute with their thoughts to the thread, because the staff are well-adjusted individuals capable of noticing when there's a problem and act accordingly. The staff is not here to babysit and protect you from criticism, Pork.
