I don't think spending a week on Sega Forums is a good measuring stick for analyzing the Sega/sonic fanbase as a whole. There are good people among the fanbase, both on those forums and outside Sega forums. I don't know the experience you had over there, nor am I aware of what goes on on that site these days, but I'm quite sure there are just as many sega fans that enjoy nintendo content as there are here.

Its too soon. The Wii U just came out only a couple of months ago. The 3DS situation was a one time exception that's unlikely to happen again for obvious reasons. More software is all that is needed to make the Wii U more attractive. If they cut the price now, it will simply come off as Nintendo in panic mode, and burn those who adopted early.

I just can't belive this is hapening, Nintendo are usualy THE best when it comes to quality.

Wouldn't be the first time. Nevermind the 3DS and its "scratching" problems, even the original Wii had its share of issues with the 2% who suffered from overheating GPU which resulted in little dots that show up during gameplay of Wii software (and get worse overtime in some cases).

Hardware defects are inevitable when it comes to system launches. You are always taking a risk when it comes to picking up a system on day 1. Its just a matter of whether or not you obtained a good batch or not.

Its pretty much already over.

Verified devkits of all 3 systems have been leaked... And they are all in the same ballpark of just a little bit more powerful than last gen.

The only thing that's left is to see how the internet gamer handles this realization.

Assuming this news is legit, we are looking at the 6th Gen all over again in terms of comparative specs from one system to another. I figured as much.
