Is the whole world on dope???? Does anyone know the definition of the word "Generation"?!? http://www.merriam-w...nary/generation There it is if anyone needs help... Now add the word "NEXT".  You get the word "Next-Gen".

Now "Next-Gen" means... wait for it...  The next generation of a family or in our case the newst console in the Nintendo Family.

The thread is pointless, WiiU is already doing "Next-Gen" stuff because well its the next generation which since the 3 main players are out "Current-Gen".

 

An easier example is this. I would be considered first Generation, My son would be "Next-Gen" or 2nd generation.

Sorry but im sick of reading this crap all over the web, i didnt mean to snap on anyone or point fingers at anyone just wanted to get this off my chest for awhile and well this is the only gaming community im a member of besides MiiVerse...

 

If there`s any benefit to this i just can`t see it.

Sure theres a benefit to this. Alot of people take cruises, more people will get hands on with WiiU which means more potential customers.

These reviewers are a bunch of cry babies. This is how its been in the older Sonics, collect rings, get hit and only get a fraction back. Not a big deal. Crying about not having a check point... really??? You want the game to play for you too?

I plan on buying this the first day. When i saw the IGN review I looked for other reviews out there and they are all mixed. 

to use TVii the console has to be on. I have DTV and when you set it up you choose your region and what type of receiver you have. It does and auto search for the codes. It finds the right code and your set. You then can go through and create a personalized guide. View the actual TV guide, the remote actually resembles the DTV remote in a way minus some buttons. You can change the channel through the guide. Limited DTV functions. You can get updates for sports and post about it. hope that helps.

Wow, so many idiots in here it is unreal. Like xWydrAx has been screaming in the whole thread, he didnt attack the other companies. He stated that the competitions launch line up is "meh" compared to the CURRENT/FUTURE line up. Not once did he mention the Wii U launch games. He is saying you will get better value buying a wii u and experiencing the CURRENT/FUTURE titles than forking out $100+ more dollars on a system with nothing but "MEH" launch titles.  Like a few others who can read have said, the launch line up titles are multiplatform and also being made for PS3/60. So why even upgrade? I never bought a PS3 because all their games except MGS4 were "meh"...

Im glad they didnt go the Sunshine route. Thats the only Mario game I wont play. Im thinking this Mario will be fun to play with single player or multi. I cant wait to see some of the other levels and some baddies!

This will be interesting. I wonder how much memory is used for OS and gaming? Multitasking takes ALOT of memory... I bet 1-2 GB dedicated to just gaming and the rest for OS/Muli tasking. If thats the case then you wont see much difference out of the three.

The only people doubting the Wii U are graphic hounds that thinks graphics make a good game and think that Nintendo is garbage because the graphiucs arent as good even though we are the ones with the killer IPs. Some idiots never learn.

Yeah I dont think ill be spedning any of my cash for a ps4 either. I can only think of one game Id really want to play and that would be Gran Turismo 6 (if they make it) I cant seem to justify spending my money on a console for one game.  My brother on the other hand was excited for ps4, i dont think he liked the controller too much, i know i didnt.


I dont think we will see another console suffer the same fate as the Dreamcast. I still have mine though! lol.

Alot of whining going on here... I assume most people who complain about using a Wiimote to play Mario havent owned or played a NES then? I bet the next 3D Mario game will use the Pro controller. I understand the option should be there, i get that. But no big deal to me because I have Wiimotes and knew not to get rid of my wiimotes!!!!

So no one read up on Wii U before launch? No one knew that it was going to also use the Wiimotes? IF you did know this then why sell your wiimotes? Thats your fault and not Nintendos fault. Everytime i get on this board theres someone else crying about something stupid...

No disrespect but of you did take care of your Wii U then you wouldn't let other people use it when you're not around and abuse it. In any case don't you have a regular TV remote they can use. In my case no one and I mean no one touches my consoles, computer, TV, iPad, surround sound amp when I'm not around. It's all off limits for everyone else even my relatives. I don't trust anyone with my stuff.

Tell that to your wife... And its not like when im sleeping i can monitor what is going on in the living room.

Its $95 for a replacement if anyones interested. When i called the asked a few weird quesitons, like if i thought the HDMI cable was long enough and the power cord lol. They are also sending me a survey on the wii u. Oh yeah they estimate 1-2 weeks delivery and i gotta ship mine in.

These CPU specs were taken whent the system was at IDLE in a menu.
Most PCs now a days will cut the CPU power down to save energy. As soon as you fire up a game or do something heavy on the PC the CPU will function at peak capactiy. I know this because my friend said his PC was advertised at having a 3.0 GHz processor. While at the Windows desktop it only showed 1.5 Ghz. As soon as we launched a game, i went to the desktop and checked again and it was at 3.0 GHz just as the box said it should be. I changed his power settings and bam it was always listed as 3.0GHz.

Ill wait untill Nintendo gives us the real story.
