#213911 Official Nintendo e3 Website now up!

Posted by Mr. Foogy on 31 May 2013 - 02:25 PM

Today, nintendo revised their http://e3.nintendo.com/ to prepare for e3 2013. As of now it only contains some basic information, but i did notice one interesting thing.

If you reload the page, you will see different character outlines in the bottom left corner, all representing games that will be shown at e3. You had the Pikmin and the Mario, but there was one which i could not recognize:

Maybe it's just being ignorant, but I can't say that I've seen this character before. Do you know who it might be?

UPDATE: Apparently it's the guy from The Wonderful 101. Still though, these little pictures gave the website a nice touch! Maybe there are some hidden clues there still.

#213777 Underestimate Nintendo at your own peril - Spector

How does a company "win" a generation? Is it the one who sells the most? No offense, but that just sounds fanboyish. Especially since the PS4 and XB1 aren't released yet.

Gamespot

The Wii U has struggled thus far, but Deus Ex and Epic Mickey designer Warren Spector remains hopeful that Nintendo can turn it around. Speaking with GameSpot, the industry veteran said betting against Nintendo is an ill-advised move.

"I've been pretty upfront about my enthusiasm for Nintendo. I think we need a company that's dedicated to games. Every time I visit Nintendo, I'm relieved to have spent time in a place where you can just feel how much everyone loves games, and, really, how many times have people written Nintendo off? I think you underestimate them at your peril." - Warren Spector

With everything known so far about the Xb1 and the DRM rumors going around, i say Nintendo has a good chance of winning this generation and making the doomsayers look like $h!t.

Notice the ignorance of the comment section smokin.gif

Exactly. The PlayStation outsold the N64, but that doesn't mean it lost: there are plenty of people who prefer the N64 over the PS1.

Indeed. The Zelda 64 games were fantastic.

Some say the best, but Twilight and Wind Waker are among mu favorite.

Nintendo has been written off ever since the Genesis hit the market: "The Genesis has 8 more bits! Mortal Kombat was censored! The N64 uses cartridges! The GameCube looks like a lunch box! The DS is a gimmick! The Wii doesn't have HD! The 3DS hurts your eyes! The Wii U had a bad launch! Mario can't carry Nintendo forever!  Nintendo is D00MED!" We've heard it all before and they constantly keep getting proved wrong, because when Nintendo gets their back against a wall, they blow people's minds.

#214036 NSMB U Update

Posted by NintendoReport on 31 May 2013 - 06:09 PM

Coming on or before June 20th.

http://wiiudaily.com...date-for-nsmbu/

  1. It will allow the downloading of the Luigi DLC from within NSMBU; you won’t have to download it from the eShop.
  2. It will allow both games to be played with the Wii U Pro Controller.

While these are relatively small updates, both are very welcome. Being able to download the DLC right from the game is a lot more convenient than having to navigate through the eShop. The Pro Controller support is something that has been missing for no real reason and it’s great that they’re finally adding it.
