Nintendo fans, would you go for a tactical shooter?

Nintendo fans, would you go for a tactical shooter? Like hardcore, tactical shooter!

Takedown: Red Sabre is a hardcore game, like tactical hardcore, take your time, hardcore! It’s NOT a run-and-gun shooter, it’s a thinking mans/woman’s game. So all fans of Call of Duty and clones, you might want to stay clear, give this game a wide birth.

It’s being headed-up/developed by Christian Allen who worked on early Tom Clancy classic’s like, Rainbow Six: Athena Sword and Ghost Recon: Island Thunder, just to name a few, plus Halo: Reach, if you like that kind of shooter?

Under his guidance he has assembled a team that includes former Zipper Interactive staff of (SOCOM) fame and others. The is game powered by Unreal Engine 3 technology (so there is no qualms of the Wii U of not being able to run it).

It is being published by 505 Games, who recently published Sniper Elite V2 on the Wii U, so there’s a chance if there’s enough interest. (If they did bring it to the Wii U, lets just hope they included the treasured multiplayer aspects.) Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, cough, cough.

In fact someone by the name of AquilarExmortis asked if there is any chance of the game appearing on the Wii U.

The reply by the man himself was. “Lol lets see if wii u makes it first.â€

This is an extract taken from an article I wrote, in regards to the forum post on the official Takedown: Red Sabre game.

There is also some off-screen (cam alpha footage.) It's rough, but could be a promising game, if you like it, well hardcore and tactical.

Your thoughts please.

Operation 3rd party.

21 July 2013 - 10:30 PM

Found this whilst browsing the internet. It's a Facebook page that has been set-up to drum up support (create awareness) for 3rd party titles to be developed (ported seems such a lackluster word) for the Wii U.

I (liked) it just to help them on their way. Get the wheels rolling.

Frostbite engine Wii U Kickstarter campaign.

16 July 2013 - 11:22 AM

So don't rip the CR-P out of me, this is just a crazy idea I had. There are many people like me who enjoy various EA (Games). Battlefield, NFS (different engine) and so on.

Now EA are not flavour of the month in Nintendo fans eyes, with their ever changing stance. Frostbite will work, it won't work. The Wii U is CR-P so on and so forth.

We all know it's down to money, the cost of the time needed. So this is my idea.

Could a Kickstarter campaign not be set-up for the sole purpose of financing the cost to port Battlefield 4 and the Frostbite engine to Wii U.

Ideas please. Surely it wouldn't cost that much, a few million or so?
