Looks like i might be upgrading a little sooner.

 

As far as I'm aware its only been announced for the EU with no word as to whether it will come to North America. Judging by Nintendo's decision to be selective on their hardware releases in various regions I would be very surprised if it comes to the US.

It's actually a little frustrating that they limit color selection based on region.  I wanted the silver XL, ended up with the blue one.

I prefer a bean bag. Allows you to be lax but at the same time you can comfortably upright, and you don't have to do much to go completely horizontal either for a back stretch.

I also prefer to have the bean bag stand alone, out of range of tables and chairs. I also like to have it atop a flat trolley, so I can move around the room.
I prefer a tiled floor as to a carpet. Easier to slide around and easier to keep clean. Woodboards are fine, but they can get rather noisy.

I prefer to have a whole sliding door in the room as opposed to just windows. It makes the room breathe better. If I could have a skylight, I would.
Conditioning is a must. If I can get naturally cold air into the room through the window, that would be great. Otherwise, one of those small portable aircon filters will do.

The room itself would need to be big, but with all my gaming stuff packed into a corner. I don't like to play on really big TVs, I prefer much smaller monitors. But at least there would be enough room for air to circulate. Which helps a lot when you live in Australia.

I'd prefer cabinets without doors, as opposed to ones with doors. Apart from heat from the machine not freely floating away, I'm simply too lazy to repeat such a minor thing over and over.

Dual monitors at the desk would be nice, one for the PC, and one for teh gaemz. I prefer sit in a chair for computer related stuff, so that would be the only other chair present in the room. Everything else gives off the idea of comfort, but at the same time I wouldn't feel comfort after 10 mins.

Maybe my body is allergic to furniture?

A large table, with a minifridge underneath would ideally be on the side of the room closest to the computer.
And, for all non-video game related gaming, a flippable table with a pool side and a poker side would be nice somewhere in the back.

Also needs dart board.

And that's my preferred system for all my gaming.

Never heard that one before. But season 2's opener felt a lot more like an opener than a finale, to me.

Just gonna post this anyway for anyone else who's interested. (since I already started uploading) There's also some acapella, intrumentals, background music, and a few extras in there.
As I said, I forgot where this came from so forgive me for not properly crediting the creator.

I downloaded an .mkv rip of the iTunes version. It's slightly desaturated and only 720p but it doesn't have logos which are a big distraction to me.

Also, Feld0, I have mp3's of all the songs from season 1. I forgot where I got them from but I can upload them if you like.

I'm willing to suffer through the logos if it means glorious 1080p on my DreamColor screen.

Don't worry about the songs, Elvis. The last season 1 soundtrack I downloaded was quite bad in quality, and I've decided to create my own FLAC rip for MLP Forums, which is sourced from the 5.1 Dolby Digital track of my copy of the show (in other words, it's pristine). And FLAC >>>>>>>> MP3 (I'm an audiophile).

Please explain why it has gone too far. Avatars, signatures, and usernames are simply a form of personal expression, and it would be ridiculous to place a ban on ones that are pony-related. The only fair way to do that would be to place a ban on all sigs, usernames, and avvies that don't have anything to do with games. Wertville/Gin Kamiya explained this before brilliantly, so I'll just leave you with this link to his post about it.

As for the actual MLP presence on the forum, sure, we bronies may occasionally post a pony reaction image like this one:



...but I fail to see how that's any different from something like this:



It's not like Star Trek is any more relevant to a Wii U forum than My Little Pony, is it? Yet none of you would openly go around bashing me if I was to post that image as a reaction to someone's post.

As for the actual MLP discussion, please tell me where you have seen us talking about the show outside of the dedicated topic. We're not going around trying to force everyone to love ponies by derailing threads with them or discussing the show outside of that topic. If someone's sig is annoying you, you are more than welcome to press the ignore button in its upper-right corner and hide it. If you don't want to talk ponies, just stay out of the MLP thread.

Atsuro brought up a good point, too. Minecraft has a pretty huge presence on here, too, and I'm about to give up a precious quarter of my server's power to run a multiplayer service for all the Minecraft fans on here. Absolutely free of charge, and only because I want to do something nice for everyone here who enjoys the game. Minecraft has absolutely nothing to do with Nintendo, much less the Wii U. Yet, where's my well-deserved "we're a Wii U forum!! Why do we have an official group of people here playing a friggin PC game?" hate? Maybe I should call of the entire Minecraft server project now, if all you guys want is Wii U stuff. It would save me money, anyway.

Kurt and I are starting MLP Forums with a similar idea as the Minecraft server - there are a significant number of people here that enjoy something I happen to be into myself, so I want to do something nice for them and give them a place where they can post all the ponies they want. Just like I'll be giving all the Minecraft fans here a place to build all the stuff they want, but together with the same familiar people they've befriended and have talked to for the past few months here.

Both of these efforts are initiatives I'm taking with the intention of strengthening our bonds as a community beyond our mutual interest in the Wii U. I care about all of my members, and want you to come here for the community, not just for Wii U talk. I've seen several new friendships form here, and have made quite a few myself, and I'm positive that they will outlive the Wii U. Would you prefer to come here and talk about nothing but the Wii U with no one but anonymous, disposable strangers?

It appears the situation has gotten "worse". A few notable search phrases that are further down the list past that screenshot include "flutterguy", "i hate ponies", "princess celestia", "my little pony 4chan", "horse pictures only", and even "my little pony wii".

We've also had at least 4 guests find mlpforums.com through this forum and register there without registering here.

One of the best remixes ever, in my opinion!
