Posted by Joshua on 11 October 2012 - 05:14 PM in Wii U Games and Software

You know, misleading threads like these aren't acceptable. Just pointing that out.

What happens when your warning points hit 100?

Let's just say you wouldn't be able to see it, if you get what I mean. :P

After playing a LOT of Mass Effect and seeing what synthetic lifeforms do when they go rogue, I kinda wish we don't create intelligent robots. :P

Never gonna happen. And let's hope it never does.

My favourite flag is definitely the Union Jack, the almighty symbol of the United Kingdom, our Mother country and the home of Her Majesty.

Call me weird, but I think this flag looks pure badass! I always imagine a line of English Musketeers taking aim with this flag risen right above them.

I think in both a religious and scientific point of view, both answers would be no because Dolphins still act based on instinct, rather than the will because it's right or wrong.

But I may be incorrect so please feel free to debunk my idea.

Is it really that difficult to click the big "View New Content" button at the top of every page on the site?

For all my time being on this site, I never took advantage of this button. Man I feel like an idiot. :P

When E3 rolls around, and especially after the Wii U Launches, I believe we should increase it to 10 'recent topics'.
News will flood like crazy soon.

Just read what I wrote in the first post, those are the reasons I think dolphins are people. At the very least it's been proven that they don't act purely on instinct, and can show reason.

Don't worry I have read your opening statement. It's just that I have troubles seeing and believing any animal acting on something that doesn't give them self gain.

Well we can pretty much assume they'll incorporate it. Why wouldn't they, when the design of the headset makes it both practical and easy to implement?

You got to take into account the headaches people will get though. I can imagine a LOT of potential dangers from this.

What dangers? 3D glasses for 3D TVs aren't dangerous to use, so why would you think this would be dangerous? You won't be walking around with this thing on your head while playing a game (unless they decide to combine it with Kinect), so there isn't a risk of bumping into furniture.

That's what I was getting at. No doubt Microsoft is going to integrate this headset with Kinect. If you not going to move around with a Projector Headset then what is the purpose of it then? I pretty sure people would prefer a TV if that was the case. If you going to take that Projector Headset around as a portable then your going to be a laughing stock.

Australia: If you aren't devout, then it's all cool. Our national religion is beer anyway.

You forgot to add barbeques and regular routines of watching Neighbours and Home and Away.

Viritual Boy HD.

Yea, pretty much sums up what it may be. Whether or not it would be in 3D is a different story though.

Go to gbatemp or similar forums to talk about modding, this one is for general wii u insanity while we wait for it to launch.

For the time being, I agree. But once the Wii U comes out it will probably be the same as the 3DS Forums. Full of trolls and unfunny jokers wanting to get some likes by putting down the respected console.

(Not pointing any fingers or hating on the forums, mind you readers of this post)

I know what it means, but it isn't intelligence. The definition of intelligence is "The ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. ". AI isn't able to acquire knowledge.

Wait, I thought the purpose of an AI was to be intelligent as they are supposed to perceive it's environment to solve problems in the most logical manner and keep that information for later use during similar instances.

The reason for the ban on such subjects is because Nintendo and their third-party developers generally frown upon hacking/modding/homebrew in general, and openly allowing such discussion might give the site negative points in their books and scare off potential advertisers.

I'm willing to make a few concessions, though, because of our high search engine rankings and position as the world's largest Wii U community. I'll lift that rule for now, and we'll see what kinds of discussions crop up as a result. Any discussion of ROM's/images or piracy would still be a strict taboo - you'll have to keep it exclusively to homebrew.

Just saying, trolling and putting down a console would get you suspended or banned here.

Of those 1500+ members, somewhere between 100-150 or so are actually active. With 100-200 posts per day, moderating this place should not require a large staff team.

Ahh, feels good to see this.

Actually, after playing Sims 2 again a couple of minutes ago I may actually want a virtual reality headset, like a visor rather than helmet.

Feld0 mentioned that warning points are only to be seen by the user and the admins.
It's a private thing that should stay that way. Besides, if someone is trolling, we will know.

If an advanced AI was ever created I wish for it to be similar to EDI from the Mass Effect series.
There is no better AI than "her".

#85961 [For Fun] If you could only pick 1 of the following which would you pick?

Posted by Joshua on 08 June 2012 - 10:18 PM in Wii U Games and Software

No doubt Super Mario 128. I've been waiting for another Mario game similar to SM64.

#74631 [Speculation] Skype - there's is deffinetely potential.

Posted by Joshua on 24 April 2012 - 08:53 PM in Wii U Hardware

PS Vita has it now.

Maybe because SONY has agreed to pay Microsoft a sum of money to have it on.

Nintendo would not use Skype as that will be paying Microsoft. They would probably make their own lite equivalent.
