#243573 UK charts: Rayman Legends debut outsells Rayman Origins debut, 6th on chart

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 02 September 2013 - 04:13 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Wii U version was the highest selling at number 14! :D

Really? Wii U version outsold the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions?
The install base difference is massive.

#242622 W101 Embarassing Sales - 5000 in Japan!

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 29 August 2013 - 09:53 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Didn't they offer a digital discount for people who got Pikmin 3?

People keep throwing these sales numbers around, yet seem to forget how big digital sales are becoming.

VGChartz, for example, still has Wii U software sales about 3 million units below the official March numbers.

#238586 Wonderful 101 is the reason to own a Wii U

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 11 August 2013 - 01:39 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I advise everyone to watch this playthrough of the demo.
He really shows nearly every aspect of it and explains everything he is doing.

Truly shows how immersive this game is and shows the kind of skill needed to start thinking about doing it on hard mode and up.

#235541 How do you think pikmin is gonna do in europe?

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 28 July 2013 - 08:27 AM in Wii U Games and Software

VGcharts says that in Europe the Wii U has sold 690,724 units so far and for pikmin to sale 100,000 units would be insane that means 69% of the people that bought a wii U would have bought this game and for comparison in japan the WiiU has sold around 1 million units and pikmin has sold around 130,000 so thats a user base of around 13% so I don't think it will be 100,000

if I had to take a guess 62,165 which is 9% of the WiiU user base in Europe

Your math is a little off there, for the first part anyway.

100,000 units sold at an instal base of 690,724 is about 14.5%, not 69%.

#232445 Pikmin 3 is apparently selling well in Japan

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 17 July 2013 - 12:12 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Woah! Pikmin 3 is #1 on the Japanese game software charts and the Wii U is #2 on the hardware charts!

This is awesome news!

Pikmin was released on the 13th and these sales only count to the 14th.

Am I reading something wrong or does that mean Pikmin sold 90k+ copies in 2 days?

Also, it almost tripled hardware sales in that same amount of time?

#223287 Unannounced project from Yoshiaki Koizumi (Mario)

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 18 June 2013 - 03:49 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Dang nab it nintendo! Stop worring about mario!!!!!! What about metroid or kirby. No No No. What new zelda annocments? Another copy???? I'm ticked.

What's been going on with nintendo? I'm happy with pokemon and smash bros. but still. Nintendo needs to get off their lazy butt and take more then a few months to make a game. The thing is right now the least popular things are getting more work. For example animal crossing toke 3 years to make and that was a freakin awesome game.

Nowhere does is state that it'll be a Mario game, the reason I put "(Mario)" in the title is because Koizume is the producer of 3D World.

#223059 Unannounced project from Yoshiaki Koizumi (Mario)

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 17 June 2013 - 01:38 PM in Wii U Games and Software

So, when asked about future projects, Koizumi replied they will make an announcement soon.

I wonder if its a big project or maybe some sort of eShop title.

#218621 Ubisoft Press Conference

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 10 June 2013 - 03:33 PM in E3 2013 Archive

They only have an hour direct... Right?

True, they also have "Developer Interviews" and "Wii U software" though, not sure what we'll see there.

#218608 Ubisoft Press Conference

Very disappointed that Wii U got NO love whatsoever. All those next gen games, and none for Wii U, Wii you ubisoft

Ubisoft has been praising the Wii U and telling people to trust Nintendo.

There's a slight chance Nintendo wants to unveil the games during their Direct.

I'd be surprised really if Ubisoft doesn't bring their next gen games to the Wii U.

Didn't see a Wii U logo for The Crew?

Will it not show up or saving for the direct?

Does look interesting,

Toy Box Mode looks really incredible.

#218307 MS showed excellent games, but we must not forget the terrible DRM

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 10 June 2013 - 10:54 AM in E3 2013 Archive

I never had a day when my web was down over 24 hours. If so I will play some Wii U until it comes back on. No biggie :)

By then I would probably have another console.

I doubt you are the majority though, I know many many people who own a console but do not have internet, or even cable.

#218230 Official E3 Discussion Thread. (Updated with The Times)

Some of the graphics looks pretty nice, but nothing really impressed me with that.

#218172 Are you watching the Xbox One conference

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 10 June 2013 - 08:30 AM in E3 2013 Archive

I'll probably be watching it, but no way in hell is it going to change my mind of never purchasing one.

Kinect 2.0 + dodgy patent application + PRISM = stay the hell away from me.

#218105 Watch Dogs E3 2013 live action trailer

Very nice trailer, it's CGI though, not live-action.

#217758 RUMOR: Four Best Buy Demo Titles Revealed

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 09 June 2013 - 09:48 AM in Wii U Games and Software

This is the first time in E3 history a company makes demo's available for people who can't go,

and most of you manage to complain about which games...

#217312 E3 is getting closer, What are you most excited for?

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 08 June 2013 - 04:04 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Nice to see the votes being so spread out, there's something for everyone apparently.

If I'm not mistaken, Miyamoto mentioned he was working on a new IP, I'm hoping we'll see that.

Mario is my next favourite choice as those games always show so many aspects of the console.

#211649 What Do You Think of the Name "Xbox One"?

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 27 May 2013 - 04:02 AM in General Gaming

How do you know what xbox you are talking, are you talkin about the first one, or one, thats what i think

I agree the name isn't really grand, but why refer to the first one as Xbox One?

#211504 Should Nintendo stop making Mario games?

Posted by TheSparrow87 on 26 May 2013 - 04:02 PM in General Gaming

Mario is often a showcase for what the console can do,

in terms of gameplay by use of a new controller and graphics.

The use of a joystick to travel in a 3d gaming environment with Mario 64.

Using analog triggers and a second joystick to control camera and FLUDD in Sunshine.

Motion control integrated with physical button control and a stunning visual appearance with Galaxy.

Having a familiar face help you explore the possibilities of a new console is not a bad thing.

All previous major Mario's have done this fantastically and there is no reason to not continue this trend.
