The comments on that make me want to punch them all in the face. Specially the one that says the Wii U is not an 8th gen console and that its just Nintendo "catching up" to the 7th gen. That is not true. Uneducated people talking crap. Ugh.

Most of you guys are Wii owners, and you know when you turn it on, it makes the most irritating noise ever. I keep on thinking that it'll mess up my Wii if I don't put in a disc quick enough.
Do you guys think that the Wii U will do that? Or will it turn on like the Xbox 360 and PS3?



All of those sounds are normal, except when the disk is spinning, I think. My Wii sounds normal (compared to tests Ive done with different Wiis).

I was just making a video to show you, but it'll take me a few mins because while I was making the video the camera's light showed me something behind the left side of the Wii that I had not seen before. Let's just say it's a Christmas present from my dang dog.... :angry:
I have no idea how the heck the dog managed to do that on such a small/ hidden space where I would never expect him to! lol!

I think Sony will introduce for the PS4 a tablet controller similar to the PSP Vita. I think they realize that using the PSP Vita as a controller will never take off, but adding that to the PS4 -- while keeping PS Move and DualShock 3 -- will be better at competing with the Wii U and Xbox Kinect.

The problem is, however, if they do then where does that leave Wii U? Would the Wii U stand out? This would be a very good move by Sony, and I am not sure what Nintendo would do.


Im not sure if Sony would actually copy this, but you never know. Anyway, Nintendo must have a lot of brilliant ideas for this new controller and I think we've not seen all about it.

I just feel the need to point this out: The Wii U will have it's own online system. The origin/ Valve will be most likely just like the PS3/ Steam connectivity.

I'd wait until E3 2012 before we start making judgements.

Surprised nobody has made a topic about this! This could be huge!

According to the rumor, EA is pushing Nintendo to have Origin (Steam's competitor) on the U and are aggressively pushing Nintendo so Wii U is exclusive to Origin. (I dont think it means origin will be the main online system on Wii U since I doubt Nintendo would give EA that much control over its online).

Valve sees this being potentially dangerous to them, so they are pushing for Steam on the U.

I think this can only go 3 ways if the rumor is true:
1. Wii U gets Origin and full support from EA because of it.
2. Wii U gets Steam, EA gets mad and drops Wii U support.
3. EA wont act like a baby and Wii U gets both Steam and Origin.

What Im curious about is how these services would be applied to the Wii U's online.

What do you all think?

I dont think they would go with the Brawl style (for good reason too) for Mario on the Wii U.
Brawl's style was made so all the characters blend together. Look at Toon Link for example, he's supposed to be Cel-Shaded, not that detailed. They made him like that so he fits with the rest of the cast.

Mario on Wii U would use the same graphic style the Galaxy games and Mario 3D land are using, but they would have better textures and 1080p resolution (HD). I think people confuse HD with "realistic" style graphics. HD is just a resolution.
