#308425 Get your hopes up about Zelda Wii U and Xenoblade X, but not too much (imo)

Posted by Rasvita on 07 February 2015 - 01:37 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Well it has been revealed the game is 22.7GB, less than 4x the size of Xenoblade.

I first read this as, "Well it has been revealed that the game is 22.7 GB, which is 4x smaller than the size of Xenoblade.  I was about to shout "OBJECTION!", but I re-read the sentence and understood it.

As for the actual topic of this thread, the game looks like it will be lots of fun.  I have no reason to not be excited about it.

#305784 Swapping Default Console A and B Buttons?

Posted by Rasvita on 22 December 2014 - 10:36 AM in Wii U Hardware

On virtual console you can, but that is about it as far as I'm aware.  I've always found it strange that some people don't like the (A)ccept/(B)ack system.

#304618 Zelda U Gameplay from Game Awards

Posted by Rasvita on 05 December 2014 - 10:54 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I was not expecting the first actual kind-of-gameplay of the new Zelda game to be shown off on some show that I didn't care enough about to actually watch...

Also, do my ears deceive me, or did Reggie pronounce Aonuma as Ainuma in that video?

#303925 Xenoblade Chronicles X to Have a Deep Sci-Fi Story

Posted by Rasvita on 25 November 2014 - 08:04 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I'm imaging from what I know of Gears/Saga that it will go a lot more into the themes of religion and such. From what I know(Haven't played either game/Trilogy yet) the Xeno games prior Xenoblade were basically a philosophical guide on religion. In Comparison, Xenoblade's big themes feel like..baby content. Feel free to correct me, Ryudo, as I know nothing.

Hmm...so this could end up being one of those, "Grrr, our god says to kill everyone.  Prepare to die!", things?  It did seem like there was a group intent on destroying everyone, for reasons.  That would be too boring by itself though, so I guess there would be more to it than that.

#303920 Xenoblade Chronicles X to Have a Deep Sci-Fi Story

Posted by Rasvita on 25 November 2014 - 06:40 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I like how they call Xenoblade a basic fantasy story.  Basic by Nintendo standards usually means, "Person has been kidnapped, go save them."  I'm excited to see what they consider a deep story, especially since I've never actually played a Xeno game (I've only watched a play through of Xenoblade).

#303781 The Collectors Problem... What do you think about Amiibo?

Posted by Rasvita on 23 November 2014 - 05:13 PM in General Gaming

Well, your not really a hardcore collector unless you buy one to save, one to use, and one to show off, right?   :P

But anyways, I can't be bothered to care about proper collecting.  Even if I get one of those super amazing double arm cannon Samus amiibo, I'll probably just rip the box open and shove it on my shelf.

Edit:  Or I will make a video of myself slowly mangling the box and drawing on the amiibo and post it on youtube to torture people.

#303686 Super Smash Bros - How do you use Voice Chat?

Posted by Rasvita on 22 November 2014 - 12:56 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Voice chat only works when playing with people on your friends list.  I believe you press the minus (-) button to turn voice chat on and off, but I haven't used it, so I can't say for sure.

#303595 Super Smash Bros "There is no SD card inserted."?

Posted by Rasvita on 21 November 2014 - 09:33 AM in Wii U Games and Software

When I loaded the game for the first time last night, it said I need an SD card to save screenshots.  I'm pretty sure it only does that because there is no photo viewer app native to the Wii U.

Edit:  I just loaded the game for the second time, with no SD card either time, and the save data from before was saved.

#303551 So here are The Game Awards nominees....

Posted by Rasvita on 20 November 2014 - 03:46 PM in General Gaming

Oh goodness, I didn't even notice that there was Ubisoft in the developer nominations.  Of course it is specifically Ubisoft Montreal.  I don't know specifically what they worked on.

#303529 So here are The Game Awards nominees....

Posted by Rasvita on 20 November 2014 - 12:05 PM in General Gaming

After last year's disaster, yeah....

Now I'm going to have to look up what happened last year...

As for the games, Bayonetta 2 was the only thing I knew would be there.  After the reviews it got, it just kind of had to be.

I had totally forgotten that Bravely Default came out this year.  I really liked the game, but I think the repetitive story could hold it back from winning anything.

Mountain?  Unless there is more to that game than the little bit I've seen of it (totally possible), it seems like they had to scrape the bottom of the barrel there.

#303474 Super Smash Bros reviews are in

Posted by Rasvita on 19 November 2014 - 05:29 PM in Wii U Games and Software

The reviews are really only there so that I can bask in the essence of the game that I have already bought, downloaded, and just have to wait until tomorrow night to play.

#303334 Super Smash Bros Honest Trailer

Posted by Rasvita on 18 November 2014 - 03:17 PM in Wii U Games and Software

This video did not feature Robin, aka the character I wanted since before Fire Emblem: Awakening existed, and therefore, it is bland.

All these people are saying congratulations...

I'm pretty sure the correct response is, "I pity your fate!", and then we all cause more problems.   :P

#302837 Mario Kart Super Circuit Now Available for VC

Posted by Rasvita on 13 November 2014 - 05:23 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I seriously thought that this was the Super Nintendo Mario Kart.  It bugged me so much because I'm certain that came out months ago.

Also, I have this from the Ambassador program.  I don't care about it on the 3DS so I'm not going to care about it on the Wii U.

#302834 Your fave Mario Kart games and WHY (no lists please)

Posted by Rasvita on 13 November 2014 - 05:19 PM in General Gaming

Mario Kart 8.  It might not be the one that I spent the most time with or enjoyed the most or anything, but it is the one that has the thing I most wanted in all Mario Kart games...individual fingers on character hands.  Also of course, it is the only one that is set to get expansions, which is kind of cool.  Oh ya, and it's pretty and all that.  My only real complaints against it are that it feels unbalanced sometimes and if they can have the likes of Link and Villager, I want Samus or Robin.

#302725 1st Round of MK8 DLC Out and 3.0 Update Available

Posted by Rasvita on 13 November 2014 - 11:14 AM in Wii U Games and Software

I was playing the new stuff this morning.  I like that Link seems to be the same weight class as Waluigi and Rosalina (my favourite weight class).  The new courses are nice, but they made it obvious that I hadn't played the game in a while.

#302676 Smash Wii U - Preload Now Available!

Posted by Rasvita on 12 November 2014 - 10:00 PM in Wii U Games and Software

Almost finished downloading.  It will probably bug me a little bit that the game is on my system but I'm not allowed to play it.

#302675 Kirby and the Rainbow Curse Coming Feb 15th, 2015

Posted by Rasvita on 12 November 2014 - 09:52 PM in Wii U Games and Software

The box art is all bright and colourful and cute.  Also, I like that it's "Super Rainbow" in Japanese and "Rainbow Curse" in North America.  Even the game titles have to be edgier here, I guess.

#302671 Aonuma: Legend of Zelda U Looks even more amazing now than it did at E3

Posted by Rasvita on 12 November 2014 - 09:02 PM in Wii U Games and Software

My desktop wallpaper is of the game.  I'm almost disturbed that he is saying it will look better than that.  The thought in my head is, "Oh no.  What wonderful things did they have to drop from the game to make it look even better."  But, of course, I can't really have much of an opinion on anything until we see more.

#302488 Rodea the Sky Soldier Wii U And 3DS Spring 2015

Posted by Rasvita on 11 November 2014 - 10:11 AM in General Gaming

I'm rather surprised that this game is still coming.  I hope we get to see more of it.

#302240 Sonic 2006

Posted by Rasvita on 07 November 2014 - 02:28 PM in General Gaming

I remember back when I use to always see the game in the discount bin at Walmart.  I was always disappointed that I couldn't play it (because I didn't have a system for it).  This was at a time when I was in love with the Sonic Adventure games and disappointing with the likes of Sonic umm...whatever the Arabian Nights one was.  Later I saw some gameplay and stuff on youtube.  Obviously, we all know that the game had issues, but the overall direction of the gameplay seems to be closer to what I was hoping for in Sonic games than the likes of the Storybook games and the more recent games.

#302105 Nintendo NFC Cards and Smaller Amiibo

Posted by Rasvita on 06 November 2014 - 11:32 AM in General Gaming

This is probably a nice idea.  Of course, I would have liked it if they also made some slightly more expensive/higher quality figures too.

*Looks at Marth's sword*

*shudders*

#302100 I've been trolling...

Posted by Rasvita on 06 November 2014 - 10:20 AM in Roleplay and Forum Games

This is fun.  I'm happy I started paying more attention to this forum again.

At least I think I am...

#302050 Xenoblade X Artwork and Screenshots

Posted by Rasvita on 05 November 2014 - 06:41 PM in Wii U Games and Software

I was looking at the part with the character running through people's yards and suddenly had a strong desire to be able to have my own house and yard to decorate and stuff in the game.  I know that's totally unnecessary for this type of game, but it would still be fun.

#302022 Splatoon Trailer Discussion (from Direct)

Posted by Rasvita on 05 November 2014 - 03:19 PM in Wii U Games and Software

It almost felt like I was watching something from Mario Galaxy.  The single player looks like it could be some combination of platforming and shooting.  That combined with the multiplayer seems like it could be a very entertaining game.
