Is it actually coming out next year in the west? Awesome. I'm guessing the version we get is 4G, but probably called 4 ultimate.

#211332 What do Achievments/Trophies matter to you?

Posted by Happy Monk on 26 May 2013 - 01:21 AM in General Gaming

Achievements don't really matter to me at all, sure they can add some reason for replaying, but the game itself should be able to bring you back to it.

I also don't like achievements as they can spoil the game for me by simply telling me what levels there are and they can give an indication of how the long the game is going to be, achievements should be used for creative things, not simply finishing the level. I do like the achievements in Worms Reloaded for that reason.

#243211 Will be new to the wiiu family

Posted by Happy Monk on 31 August 2013 - 04:07 AM in Wii U Hardware

LEGO City, Nintendo Land (if you have enough people to play it with), Arkham City, Sonic Lost World, Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

And maybe a loan to go with those.

#206548 Favorite Pixar film?

Posted by Happy Monk on 13 May 2013 - 03:19 AM in The Café

Ratatouille is really one of the best films ever made in my opinion. I love every second of that film and it's really, really beautiful to watch. Despite this, I have never been able to decide.

I can say my personal favourites are:

Toy Story trilogy, Up, Ratatouille, The Incredibles and Monsters. Inc.

I pretty much know these movies off by heart.

By walk the walk I also meant can they make a game in which the gameplay lives up to the graphics? There closest to an awesome game was Nano Assault Neo, but it was too short. Fun Fun Minigolf was decent enough and Nano Assault EX was pretty good but flawed. I'd like them to make a game that is very good, not just the graphics.

They can talk the talk but can they walk the walk?

#255570 20-Year Microsoft Analyst Rick Sherlund says Xbox “Generates” $2 billion...

Posted by Happy Monk on 11 November 2013 - 09:51 AM in General Gaming

The xbox one will sell great it already has way more preorders than the xbox 360 had and look how that turned out not worried at all can't wait for my day one edition xbox one forza 5 dead rising 3 and battlefield 4 haters gonna hate.

All I was saying is that I think Microsoft will pull out of the console market if the XBOX One does not prove a success in the long run.

#264145 What the hell's wrong with the gaming community?

Posted by Happy Monk on 31 December 2013 - 07:13 AM in General Gaming

The gaming community has always been a joke, everyone is so forgetful, so angry and so narrow-minded it's ridiculous. To get so worked up about entertainment products is beyond me.

#265546 GET EVEN New FPS Next Gen photo realistic

Posted by Happy Monk on 08 January 2014 - 03:55 PM in General Gaming

A few games were announced, none for the Wii U - no one really cared (maybe they did about Aliens as that looks different).

#278071 Possible list of upcoming Wii U games

Posted by Happy Monk on 20 March 2014 - 09:15 AM in Wii U Games and Software

So I looked up some of the games.

Chase Mii was a Wii U demo (Which is now kinda a Nintendo Land game?)
and Measure Up was another demo, where you had to draw a line, circle, angel, squigly line in a certain size of inches or cm against another player.
And then considering The Sims (EA) is on this list...

Its probably fake. Take in mind that 16-17 of the 24 games are confirmed though.

Measure up is a game on Game on Wario. It's good fun.

#275961 Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition Announced (X1, PS4, Wii U, 360)

Posted by Happy Monk on 05 March 2014 - 04:41 PM in General Gaming

I was never sure about the game when it first came out, thought it looked a bit "try-hard". I'll wait and see if it ever goes on sale I guess.

#212149 Idea for Nintendo + Retro

Posted by Happy Monk on 28 May 2013 - 03:43 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Retro's last full game was Donkey Kong Country Returns (which came out in 2010) And they co-developed Mario Kart 7 which came out at the end of 2011, I don't think they have been working on this new Wii U game for very long... Probably 2 years at the most.

#255087 20-Year Microsoft Analyst Rick Sherlund says Xbox “Generates” $2 billion...

Posted by Happy Monk on 08 November 2013 - 06:39 AM in General Gaming

If the XBOX One does not sell that well, Microsoft will pull out of the console market. That's what I think.

#232058 Price for Next Gen EA titles

Posted by Happy Monk on 16 July 2013 - 08:41 AM in General Gaming

EA seem to really be pushing for the ever coveted Worst Company of the Year award...

But it all bugs me, like I've said many times before - I WANT FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 ON MY WII U DAMNIT!

#223339 My opinion or review of Fire Emblem Awakening 3DS

Posted by Happy Monk on 18 June 2013 - 07:13 AM in General Gaming

Fire Emblem Awakening is one of the best games I have ever played, period. Haven't completed it yet mind.

I've always loved stuff like the Daily Log (the 3DS one is much better though), so I will post mine when I can be bothered.

#212192 Idea for Nintendo + Retro

Posted by Happy Monk on 28 May 2013 - 06:24 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Now correct me if I'm wrong but I swear reading somewhere that Retro had been working on the Wii U dev kit since 2008

I cannot say either way... I do not know.

#277352 Marvel is planning on killing off Wolverine this year.

Posted by Happy Monk on 15 March 2014 - 01:22 PM in The Café

He'll die, but he'll live.

Quoting Ice Age 3 (sort of). Finally.

#272610 The Legend of Zelda Easter Egg Spotted In Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Posted by Happy Monk on 15 February 2014 - 12:13 PM in General Gaming

Well, advertising ones self is the only way to get any kind of views on the internet. I know that all too well.

#233681 What do you want to see in the 3DS's successor?

Posted by Happy Monk on 21 July 2013 - 06:29 AM in General Gaming

Well, even though the 3DS hasn't even come close to finishing, here goes.

Keep the 3D - it's awesome.

Keep the two screens - it's awesome.

Improve the battery life.

Make the screens bigger - around 4 inches for the top screen would be good.

Higher fidelity graphics and processing power (the obvious thing for a new console).

HD screens.

Without these, it wouldn't really be all that new or much of an upgrade.

#228846 Pokemon X and Pokemon Y special edition Nintendo 3DS XL

Posted by Happy Monk on 04 July 2013 - 03:15 PM in General Gaming

These new ones are the best-looking 3DS XLs ever shown.

We'd get them, but we're too important.

#262695 NeoGaf User Creates Pano Street View from Zombi U... quick LOOK

It's beautiful.

#204780 Portal ds (no, not the 2d portal game)

Posted by Happy Monk on 07 May 2013 - 10:13 AM in General Gaming

As sombering as it is impressive. Portals gameplay was some of the most progressive and innovative of the entire generation, and here are its fundamental game mechanics running on a ds, a system less powerful than the n64.

The DS can outperform the N64, so many games on it look better than N64 games...

More to the point, this is very impressive, why did Valve never make this a reality?

(I know it's not an official game).

#234833 Wii U Has Sold 1 Million Units in Japan

Posted by Happy Monk on 25 July 2013 - 01:53 PM in Wii U Hardware

1 million is quite the milestone, no matter when it happens. The more people that own something, the more likely it is that people will buy it based on recommendations from friends or family.

But yeah, 33 weeks to reach that number isn't all that impressive, if this happened a few weeks ago maybe it would be more impressive.
