Oh boy... I'm not sure what to think of this... I like my old Zelda puzzles, Aonuma! D: http://www.gonintendo.com/s/230914-legend-of-zelda-wii-u-may-have-a-very-different-take-on-puzzle-solving

Good. Hopefully it will be inspired by the puzzle design of pre oot Loz's.

If this means less predictable puzzles using the item you obtained right before the dungeon, and then exclusively using the new item you fiund for the rest of it, then I'm all for it.

If you play Darksiders II it can give you a good idea of what he is talking about. DSII is a more modern LOZ NES in terms of progression in the world

Woah. Never noticed the Wii U Forums logo is off-center before...

Well Nintendo, you certainly didn't do much to maintain your hype levels throughout the whole of E3, but the main event was awesome, and to that I say: http://i.imgur.com/ahTXT2T.gif

You gotta be kidding me. Fine, don't end with Zelda U or something else amazing, but you're ending with THIS?!?!??!?!

It ends in an hour and 20 minutes, maybe they'll sneak in a trailer at the very end (although I doubt it)

Does Nintendo know anything about hype? I mean, somebody had to make that amazing Digital Event, but who was the moron that decided what would be shown during Treehouse Live... -_(\

You've got 4 and a half hours to impress me, Nintendo... Don't fail me now...

it makes no sense really to take your thumb off the controller to use smash attacks when you can do it just with a and the analog stick

i think for casuals they think c-sticking is OP because it uses smash attacks without charging even though you can do that without the c-stick...

I don't see much of a point on the ground. In the air though, its a lot easier to attack in one direction while moving in another, which is where I use it.

I have this terrible feeling Nintendo will deny Zelda U's existence until next E3... I almost wanna throw up just thinking about the wait...

That doesn't necessarily mean it's ready to be shown, I have no idea what goes into development in what order, but i'm guessing graphics are near the last thing to be implemented. Thus not ready to be shown because the graphics aren't there. (If I'm wrong, please tell me)

Eh, I'm pretty sure they'd want to get the visual style down pretty early... You know, for it to tie in well with the game design and all that. I'm no game designer, that's just my mindset. But either way, they already showed us some gameplay, so why not more? Anything more, oven the same thing from a different angle would have me foaming at the mouth again...

You are probably right... And yes it is a sad thought. We can only hope Nintendo is changing for the better.

Good news (?) everybody! Aonuma confirmed that the character in the Zelda U trailer was, in fact, Link. http://thewiiu.com/topic/19577-zelda-u-protagonist-your-opinion/

Another interesting comment I've heard, quite frequently actually, is that, "Oh Link's a woman. Link is female now."
Eiji Aonuma: That might be something that consciously we kind of did, but not to say anything specific – I am not saying anything specific – but, I am hoping people continue to comment, and I will continue to follow the fan comments and reactions to the trailer. I am certainly curious, and I am sure there are things we as developers can glean.Jun 12 2014 03:36 AM -

Eiji, give us more information PLS ;_;
