This was kinda confirmed awhile ago. In May 2012, Ancel said they're developing it with Next-gen consoles in mind.

Tomb Raider next gen port getting announced tonight at the VGX I would bet that Sony pulls out a The Last of Us PS4 port sooner than later. It sucks because these games aren't even old. I loved Tomb Raider and I wanted a sequel but might bite for the next gen version if its cheap enough.

That is exactly why The Last of Us doesn't need to be on PS4. Naughty Dog was satisfied with how well it sold. Square Enix saw Tomb Raider as a failure, and is hoping that an easy PC port could help out.

I don't think it will work and it shouldn't be ported, but this is Square Enix: they lost all integrity they had years ago.

Ubisoft is my favorite Dev studio ever. Assassins Creed, Splinter Cell, South Park, Watch Dogs, The Division, Beyond Good and Evil, Rayman Origins/Legends ETC. THEY CAN MAKE SOME GAMES

I suppose though that if Microsoft can make a console and they only have 1 good IP then Rayman is enough to justify a Ubi console :p
